Who I am...

simplified info

On the day of February 28th, 1984 a storm was coming to Michigan. On the same day though was the day I was born. As a child, I grew up in Michigan with my parents and my loving sister and brother. To this day I still lived in the same house since I was taken home from the hospital.

I grew up in a typical Filipino family. Being apart of so many organizations, I found some people my age that really would be my lifetime friends. As I grew up as well, I began to have a lot of pride of who I am.

Growing up, I have been through many obstacles in life that sometimes I had a hard time getting over. For me, I always hung out with people who were my age, but also some were a bit older than I was. I had to deal with suicidal friends, fights, breakups, and many more that most people dont have to go through until they are alittle older than I was at the time. I grew up pretty fast I guess you could say. It shaped me to who I am today.

It is my first year at Wayne State University. why didnt i go to MSU like my sister? U of M like my brother? Albion to play soccer? for the simple reason to please my parents and take the scholarship offered to me. i mean, hey it paid for my first year and dorm! its pretty cool here, surrounded by some of my greatest friends and am not too distracted

Friendship. something i always have and always will cherish. when i was younger it just used to be little crews and make up silly names for eachother and stuff. but through the years up until now i've had reality checks on who my friends were. as for my high school friends, though i only have a couple true ones, i miss them a lot. especially my soccer girls and a couple others. as i got older, it just seemed that people went their own way, but ive seen who are my real friends by the ones who actually keep in touch with me. whether its my asian friends, friends from my mission trips or from school. i love all you guys!

Not only do my friends bring my joy, but my family as well. My sister just graduated from Michigan State University with a degree as a Packaging Engineer. Now she lives far away in Cali. i miss her lots, but gives me a tight place to visit! She is someone who I will always look up to, she is so strong and loving, I really admire her. My brother, who is finishing up at the University of Michigan is one of my other elders. A typical big brother, makes me mad but always protects me. I couldn't ask for more from him, he's a great guy, any girl should be lucky to have him. i miss him now that im up at school. the times that he was actually home, we would hang out and watch movies and talk and stuff. he's graduating in december.

My loving parents have been happily married for 26 years [i think]. As much as they can make me mad, calling me to come home, I know its just out of love. They have always supported me -- with soccer, basketball, school.. pretty much anything. I love them and my whole family so much!

To the last bit to get to know me, is something so special in my life. Its Jesus Christ! I am so lucky to have Him in my life, it has changed me to be the person I am. I live through Him and try to please Him with everything i do. He died on the cross... for Me.. for you.. for everyone! His love is so strong that I can always feel it in my heart. I am happier because of Him. He is who I have to thank for my friends, my family, my life!
