The RPG takes place on the planet Elysia, a planet very much like earth in many ways...except that the planet is divided equally into two realms of land and water, Atlantis and Asteria. The planet was inhabited by faeries, mortals and merfolk with the faeries and the merfolk being the dominant races. Long ago the planet was in perfect harmony. The reason for this perfection was because the planet was ruled by the beautiful young princess,Eve. Eve was half faerie and half mermaid, she had the essence of both and could go wherever she chose, Asteria or Atlantis. And because she was part of both races, she was one with her people. She was a gentle ruler who was loved by all her subjects. One day a mysterious plant called Ambrosia, fell to Elysia and began to bloom at a rapid rate. The flowers spread all over the planet and anyone who came in contact with the plant was overcome with extreme madness and rage, perfect evil. The faeries and the merfolk began to attack each other and soon the planet fell under destruction. Princess Eve tried to stop the evil actions of her subjects but to no avail. As the planet was slowly dying, she too, was dying from the pain of her people. As a desperate last resort she released her energy into some of the Ambrosia and created Tear Blossoms. Tiny, shimmering blossoms filled with a different element. She scattered the blossoms all over the planet in hopes that they would be discovered by good people who would help keep peace and restore the planet. Instead of just good people discovering the blossoms, bad people discovered them also and received powers. In the end chaos was driven into the souls of the faeries who discovered the blossoms and they were intent on taking over the planet. The merfolk who found the blossoms became soley good, fighting for justice and peace. And the mortals who found the blossoms were divided. The RPG takes place in the current year of 2001. Atlantis, the land realm, is inhabited by humans and faeries while Asteria, the water realm, is the home of the merfolk. Now good(The Asterian Senshi) and evil(The Atlantis Senshi) are battling for control of the planet. Mortals are now ignorant of the faeries and the merfolk and do not believe that they exist, nor do they believe nor remember Princess Eve nor the battle of long ago. The faeries and the merfolk are less ignorant but choose to hide from the mortals who believe that they are the superior race.
Inhabited by humans and faeries, the land is lush and prosperous. Like earth, it has forests and mountains as well as urban areas that are very industrialized.The mortals live in the urban areas while the faeries live amongst the nature.
Everything is medieval here: Entertainment, clothing, food, etc etc. For example here you would see a young peasant girl wearing a tunic and emptying the chamber pots. Remember no electricity or modern anything here!
The water realm is inhabited strictly by the merfolk,(oh and of course the usual water animals and plants: sharks, fish, whales, kelp, coral etc etc). This realm is all modern. For example: A mermaid could be wearing a gold lamme top and watching MTV in her chic little apartment. This is everything MODERN.
The humans are normal looking, meaning regular hair colors(brunettes,redheads, and blondes) and they have regular skin colors and eye colors and body shapes and they wear medieval clothing.
The faeries are tiny little creatures with wings and they are of extremely short height, average being from 3 inches to 12 inches(That's it!). Faeries go to their own schools(unlisted). Faeries can have any hair/eye/skin color of the rainbow and can even have their own little trail of shimmer behind them and yes they can FLY! Faeries can basically look like anything with the above requirements. For example a little female faerie named Lila can be 3 and a half inches and have short blue hair and green eyes and light blue skin. She can also have little green horns, a third eye, a blue tail and pink wings and a blue shimmer trail when she flies. Use your imagination!
The merfolk are mermaids, merbabies(water babies), mermen etc. They are of usual human height and they have a long fishy tail. Mermaids can have any hair/eye/skin color. Since they live in the modern world, they can have any hair style or clothing(although i don't think they wear much, except for the mermaids who must wear some sort of top). For example, a 5'4 mermaid named Lila can have long pink dread locks and red eyes and an olive complexion, with a red shimmery tail and she can have her bellybutton pierced and her ears pierced and wear color-changing lipstick and nail polish and a fuzzy green top. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!~
The weather/date and time are exactly like earth.
The religion is free-based. Meaning a merman named Jack can be Catholic and a faerie named Jill can be Buddhist.
English is the main language but you can have a Chinese faerie who speaks mandarin at home or a Russian mortal etc etc.
This is a public school for grades k-12. It has a relatively separate campus for elementary and high school. Their mascot is the tiger and their colors are black and blue.
This is an exclusive academy for the wealthy or artistically gifted. It is for grades 9-12 and it has no uniform. Their mascot is the eagle and their colors are violet and gold.
This is the college in Asteria and their mascot is the dragon and their colors are red and white.
This is a public high school for grades 9-12. Their mascot is the bear and their colors are blue and turquoise.
It is a public high school for grades: 9-12 and it excels in its sports teams, especially basketball. It is co-ed and there is no uniform. The mascot is a panda and the colors are black and white.
This is a Catholic high school that is very open and for grades 9-12. They are very competitive and they excell in football and soccer. They have no uniform. Their mascot is the lion and their colors are orange and blue.
This is a public school for grades k-8.Their mascot is the snake and their colors are white and gold.
This is the college in Atlantis. The school mascot is a wildcat and the colors are silver and blue.
The senshi are female and mermaids and the warriors are male and mermen. The Asteria senshi and warriors have legs instead of their tails, but only in Asteria mode, after they de-transform their tail returns. The senshi fuku can be anything as long as it has a tear blossom somewhere in the fuku and scales. For example one senshi could have a bodysuit with a bow and their tear blossom in the middle and wear thigh-high boots with scales on it. Just be creative and make sure it's original!(ABSOLUTELY NO SAILOR MOON FUKUS!)
The warriors can have any type of fuku but must have their tear blossom somewhere.(All of the above applies to the mortals who are Asteria senshi/warrior except for getting the tail back part, they always have legs)
Atlantis senshi/warriors can have any fuku as long as they have their tear blossom in sight and their wings.Again use your imagination please! (ABSOLUTELY NO SAILOR MOON FUKUS!) Mortals who are Atlantis senshi/warriors obtain wings in their transformation but lose them after they detransform.
For the Asteria senshi/warriors, the tear blossom comes in the shape of a shell of any sort. And can be worn anywhere. For the Atlantis senshi/warriors, the tear blossom can be any sort of amulet.
Asterian senshi/warriors are named after letters from the Greek system. For example: Senshi/Warrior Feoh. They can have any type of power/element base from water to fantasy...anything good.
Atlantis senshi/warriors are named after runes. For example: Senshi/Warrior Alpha.They can have any type of power/element base from lust to death...anything evil.
