Randy Johnson(21-8) pitched a rare no-hitter as the powerful Arizona team toppled the Chicago White Sox 5 to 0. Johnson was spectacular. He had excellent control, walking only one. The tension started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified. Johnson whiffed an impressive total of 12 Chicago batters. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score. Steve Trachsel(8-13) was the loser. 'You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this happening,' said Johnson, 'I don't expect it to sink in for awhile,' he said. 'I'm numb right now, I'm overwhelmed.' |
