My guys, my two legged family, my other four legged family and I live on
a 12 1/2 acre farm located in the picturesque rolling hills of Harford
County in Northern Maryland. My other four legged family consists of
one barn cat, eight Arabian horses, two half Arabian geldings, and two
Pomeranians. My two legged family is my mother, my daughter, my son
in-law, and two of my seven grandchildren.
HISTORY OF JAI BEE MASTIFFS
I have been owned by Mastiffs since 1977. Our first Mastiff, a male,
was as sweet as he could be, but he was by no means a show dog and we never
considered using him in a breeding program. Our second Mastiff, Sheba was a
lovely bitch and, regrettably, she never produced a puppy. Sheba was spayed
when she was 3 years old and she lived to be a ripe old age of 13. We called
her the "old maid aunt."
Our foundation bitch was DEER RUN JAI BEE CLEOPATRIA. Cleo produced beautiful and
notable offspring. We always felt we were very lucky to have been owned and
loved by Cleo, she was a devoted lady in every sense of the word. Cleo lived
to be one month short of her 13th birthday. The legacy of Cleo continues to
live on through her children's children, their children and so on down the line.
How lucky I am to have been owned by so many beautiful Mastiffs as members of my family
for all these wonderful years.
