INTRODUCTION
Dawah is inviting people to the right path (sirat-al-mustaqeem), to
virtue (ma'ruf) and guidance (hidayah) and recognise Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala as the Ultimate is an Islamic obligation. The
Quran and the Sunnah make it explicit that Muslims are individually as
well as collectively reponsible for amr bi al-ma'ruf (2:145), enjoining
good, and for communication or tabligh, of the Islamic message (ballighu 'anni
wa lau ayah). This noble work has been taken up by various groups of Muslims through
out the ages in different parts of the world. The techniques, methods and means
used by them, for dawah, however have been various.
DAWAH ACADEMY came into existence in order to develop
dawah-oriented training, research and publication programs for the Muslim
Ummah in pakistan in general and for overseas Muslim communities in
particular. The contniuing educating programs of the Dawah Academy offer
services to the community through its training, researches, publications,
audio/video materials, seminars and conferences, and distance teaching
departments.
