SCOUTING

     Hello everyone. I have made some changes to the page recently, the most noticable being that I thumbnailed the majority of the pictures on my online photo album. I will be working at Yawgoog Scout Reservation over the summer, so there will be no new updates from June 16th through August 24th. Check back at the end of the summer though, because I will be doing some major work on the page at that point. Thank you and have a great vacation.

How to become a scout

• Be 11 years old or have finished 5th grade
• Complete a scout application and health history
• Find a scout troop near you
• Know the pledge of allegiance
• Demonstrate the scout sign, salute, and handshake
• Know how to tie a square knot
• Understand and live by the scout oath, law, motto, slogan, and the outdoor code
• Describe the scout badge
• Complete the pamphlet exercises (from the scout book)
• Participate in a scoutmaster conference
