"Did you hear? That movie rocks!" Nosedive cheered as the team stepped into the ready-room. He was waving his arms enthusiastically, and Mallory grinned.

"A little into science fiction, are we, Nosedive?"

"And into way cool special effects, Mallory." Nosedive glared.

Wildwing just shook his head. If that was the way his younger brother wanted to be, so be it. He really didn't mind, Star Wars was just an innocent sci-fi flick. No harm in his watching it.

Tanya looked up from Drake1. "Still arguing over Star Wars, Nosedive?"

"Not arguing," Nosedive said persuasively, "debating. There is a difference."

Tanya grinned. "Well, I have a simple solution. I bought us all tickets." She brandished the billets, and Nosedive's cry of absolute delight brought a smile to even Wildwing's face.

***

Nosedive settled low into his seat, and grinned at Mallory beside him. "So what do you think now that we're actually here?"

"I think we should actually watch the movie and ask me later."

Nosedive grinned, and turned to where the screen began to glow. "Uh, Mallory," he whispered, "Does it normally do that?"

Mallory shrugged. "Maybe it's some Star Wars special effects or something. Relax. You're the one who wanted to see this."

"Yeah, you're right." He looked over to Duke on his other side. "Duke, does it normally do that?"

"You heard 'er." Duke grunted. "Don't go asking me."

Nosedive turned back to the screen and his eyes opened wide as a face appeared on the screen. "Darth Vader," he whispered.

Than realization hit him. "Darth Vader isn't in this movie. It's Darth Maul! What's he got to do with it?"

The face didn't move, but Darth Vader's famous voice erupted from the screen. "You cannot run from your destiny."

Nosedive grinned. "Ya' think so?"

"Give in to the Dark Side," Darth Vader continued.

"Never." Nosedive was having fun.

"We'll see about that."

Nosedive nearly jumped out of his skin. He turned to Mallory and whispered, "Was he programmed to do that or something? Like predict what we'd say?"

"No." Mallory hadn't answered his question, it had been the thundering voice of the face on the screen. Then, something really odd happened. A huge arm reached from the screen. The black gloved hand scooped up the team and drew them towards the screen. Nosedive struggled, but the hand only tightened its grip.

Nosedive shut his eyes against the now brilliant glare of the screen, and felt a strange tingling as he was drawn through it. That had to of been the strangest thing he had ever felt in his life. Yet.

When he opened his eyes, he sat on bright sand in a patch of shade. The second he moved, he was out of the shade and the brilliant suns shining on the sand nearly blinded him. He struggled to his feet, and shading his eyes, looked around. Since when did Earth have two suns? He thought. Weird.

He looked the object whose shade he'd been sitting in. It was a badly beaten up piece of machinery. Kinda complex, but for some reason he knew how to fix it.

"Which reminds me," he muttered. "How do I know it even needs fixing?"

"Simple." He answered himself. "Because apparently I've been sucked into Star Wars and since Luke had to fix that astromech water absorber thing, I naturally assume I'm Luke and that I need to fix this thing."

Nosedive groaned. "Which means that I get to find Obi-Wan Kenobi, get attacked by those Sandpeople things, and blow up the Death Star and all, but that also means I have to be bored out of my skull for the first third of the movie!!!!"

Exasperated, Nosedive kicked the machine, which sputtered out completely. Nosedive stared at it, and groaned.

"Guess I wasn't supposed to do that. Man, this'll take another scene at least."

He leaned against the machine and slid down to sit on the blazing sand. He ran his hands through his now gritty hair and looked dismally at his worn work clothes. Even match the ones on the movie perfectly, he thought dismally.

Nosedive looked up at the bright, almost bronze coloured sky and squinted. He was sure he saw a flash of bright light. He reached to his side and brought a pair of macrobinoulars to his eyes. What he saw didn't surprise him in the least. He lowered them slowly, and almost slyly muttered, "I wonder who gets to be Princess Leia."

He looked at a small, sputtering droid ambling across the sand near him.

"What's the bother? You're going to implode or something," Nosedive muttered, looking at the droid, "And I'll find Artoo-Detoo and See-Threepio and I'll rescue the princess, and all will be well. You know," Nosedive grinned slyly. "Since I already know the plot line, I don't have to be humiliated and all, and I can miss the boring parts!"

With that, Nosedive ran over to the parked landspeeder.

"Now, to intercept those Jawas!"

Tanya rubbed her head, and groaned. Since when had she felt this sore?

"Probably since never," she muttered to herself.

Carefully, she shifted her limbs. Other than that persistent ache, she was fine. She looked around her, and stared at the mass of wires. "Well, what's going on now?"

Carefully she extracted herself from the mess, and stood up. It was only then when she realized the change that had taken place.

"By Drake, what happened!?!"

Tanya looked quite, quite different! She was bronze. That was the first noticeable thing. She was metal, and bronze. She went to run her hand through her hair, and found she didn't have much hair to run her hand through. She had a little, but mostly it was metal, and running her hand across it, found it not to be like she was bald, but rather, she had a kind of dome ejecting from her head. Tanya giggled a little, than looked for some evidence as to what had happened. What she saw shocked her.

Mallory was running down the hall. Not the old trigger-happy-go-lucky Mallory, but she wore a long white robe and an almost -was it possible?- fearful expression on her face. She spotted Tanya and ran to meet her. Tanya's brows furrowed when she saw Mallory's rush, and was about to ask her the purpose when Mallory slid to a stop before her.

Panting for breath, Mallory hissed, "I've already figured this out. Here," she handed Tanya a small disk. "Put this in your memory banks, and put this," she handed her a small metal piece, "right between those two circuits," pointing to a small link on Tanya's stomach.

Tanya nodded, and slid the disk into a slot on her side. She paused, waited a moment, and when the disk had slid back out, slid the metal piece between the two wires. Mallory nodded her approval.

"Listen," Mallory whispered, "You can't tell anyone except-" she rolled her eyes, "Obi Wan Kenobi."

"Isn't he that old hermit in Star Wars?" Tanya tried to whisper.

"Yeah, but this whole thing is weird. Trust me okay? And don't tell anyone!"

Tanya nodded. "Got it. No one. So where is this Obi Wan anyway?"

"Down there." Mallory pointed out a window to the bright planet below. "On Tatooine. You'll need to use a life pod to get there." She grinned at Tanya. "And with a memory bank like that, you'll know for sure how to run one."

She turned to leave, then added, "Oh, and don't let the Imperials get you either."

"The Imperials?" Tanya shook her head. "Weird."

She turned, and half ran down the hall.

Wildwing had woke up with a headache that morning. He had woke up with a headache, and looked into the mirror at a face that wasn't his. That wasn't the worst part though. The worst part was who he resembled. He sat on his large chair, on a dais, looking down at officers as they scurried to do their jobs.

A thin, hawk-like man emerged from somewhere to stand nervously before Wildwing. He wet his lips, and clearing his throat, said, "L-l-lord V-v-vader?"

"Yes?" Wildwing raised an eyebrow even though he knew this little man couldn't see it. His voice, much as he hated this new voice, did project his current emotion quite well-annoyance.

The man swallowed, his adam's apple bobbing. "We have intercepted the Rebel vessel, and await your orders, sir." He had put extra emphasis on the 'sir', as if emphasizing the fact that Vader/Wildwing could either have him ordered to death or simply done it himself in seconds. He would've too, if he didn't need the fool.

"Prepare to board the vessel, than."

"Ready and waiting, sir."

"Than board it." He said it rather calmly, but the smaller man recoiled as if shot. He hurried away, and left Wildwing to his thoughts. Which, Wildwing had to admit, weren't too cheery. In fact, he had bad thoughts, almost he'd dare say, evil. They involved waiting, Wildwing knew. Waiting for what -or whom- was what he didn't understand. All he knew was that they included his son -something he was sure he didn't have- and ruling the galaxy. Dangerous at best.

Not that it mattered. He'd soon have that rebel ship, and was sure it held the secret to his getting back.

Wherever back was. And whatever.

Grin looked up sharply, to see Nosedive standing in his doorway. Nosedive looked tired and dirty, but somehow elated. Grin rose slowly, his long brown robes swirling around him.

"You're early." Grin said calmly.

Nosedive shrugged. "Decided I'd miss the boring parts."

Grin walked up to Nosedive, and glared him down. "What boring parts? They all contribute to the overall plan."

Nosedive laughed nervously. "You know, you're actually starting to sound like Obi-Wan, Grin."

The larger duck glared him down. "Who's Grin?"

"Well, you of course..." Nosedive looked at Grin with a sudden expression of fear. "You don't remember do you?"

"Remember what?"

Nosedive stared at him, than said slowly, "Maybe we ought to go find those droids."

"Maybe." Grin motioned to the door, and Nosedive led the way out, glancing at Grin every couple steps.

***

Mallory walked down the hall, her hands behind her back, managing to look dignified despite the circumstnaces. She didn't even recoil when she saw who was waiting for her on the Impereal ship. Although he looked so much like Wildwing, she knew, that like herself and Tanya, or 10-Ya, had all been changed inside, and she knew Wildwing, strong as he was, would be as well. Over the next few minutes, during their conversation, it became very evident that he was affected more than she had expected. She'd dare say, even worse than Vader himself.

She knew what was coming, and with a shudder, pushed her mind as far from herself as she could as she was led to her detention cell.

***

Tanya slammed against the side wall of the escape pod, and groaned as the door slid open revealing an unforbidding desert. She sighed, and stepped out. Her advanced eyesight scanned the horizon, and spotted a vehicle skimming across the ground, nearing her location, as if watching for her. Tanya waved, and said to herself, "Man, they skipped a lot, didn't they?"

***

Nosedive lept from the landspeeder, not surprised to see Tanya standing there waiting. "Tanya!" He cried jovily, looking around in confusion. "Where's Artoo, or did he split the scene already?"

10-Ya shook her head. "It's 10-Ya, and I don't have any idea who this 'Artoo' is."

"He's been speaking strange all day," Obi-Wan said as he lifted his large form out of the landspeeder. "Perhaps he's been spending too much time in the sun."

Nosedive looked exaperated. "I haven't been acting strange, it's you who've been acting strange!"

Obi-Wan shook his head. "See what I mean?"

"Listen," Nosedive said exasperatedly. "Why doesn't '10-Ya' give 'Obi-Wan' her message, and let's go to Mos Espa!"

Obi-Wan shrugged. "Why not?"

10-Ya nodded. "Of course." She activated a button on her side, and a small hologram appeared.

"Mallory!" Nosedive gasped. "What in the world is Mallory doin' dressed up like Leia?"

10-Ya ignored him and continued playing the message. "Obi-Wan," implored the hologram, "You're my only hope!"

"Ahem-" The Leia image cleared her throat and made a little face. "General Obi- Wan Kenobi, if I've got this right, you once served with my 'father' during the clone wars, and we need your help again. This droid has necessary information to the rebellion, and I hope you can deliver it to my father on Alderaan." She glanced away, then quickly turned back. "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope!" Then the hologram disappeared entirely.

Nosedive whistled. "Woah. Pretty extreme." Then he paused. "Yo, Obi-Wan. You got that lightsaber for me?"

Obi-Wan lifted an eyebrow. "You're insight is amazing for one who has never been trained in the ways of the force."

Nosedive grinned. "Yeah. It's great, ain't it?"

***

Nosedive looked around as they floated into Mos Espa in the landspeeder. "Neato! We even missed the Imperial patrols!"

10-Ya looked at him in confusion. "What Imperial patrols?"

Nosedive shook his head hopelessly. "Never mind.

***

"10-Ya, you may as well stay out here. They don't allow droids in this bar. But you can sell the landspeeder, we'll need to anyway and you can save us time. Try and get at least 5000 for it."

10-Ya shrugged as Nosedive and Obi-Wan stepped into the bar. "Why not? I'm just the droid."

***

As Nosedive and Obi-Wan stepped blinking into the bar, Nosedive pointed to a large, furry creature. "He can hire us rides. I'll take care of myself. You don't need to worry."

Obi-Wan shrugged, and went to speak with the furry creature quietly, in gutteral tones.

Nosedive pushed his way to the bar, and ordered a drink. As he had expected, a creature, rather ugly, said something to him, and another, equally ugly creature translated for him. "He says he doesn't like you."

"Oh, I'm real sorry," Nosedive said sarcastically.

The man grinned. "I don't like you either."

Nosedive smirked. "Yeah, well I don't like you."

Angrily, the man swung out his arm. Nosedive was caught unawares, and flew backwards into a table. He saw Grin began to stand up, and Nosedive looked for his lightsaber. It sat several feet away, just out of his reach. He gritted his teeth, and not wanting Grin to win the victory or trusting his skill to call the lightsaber to himself, he reached upon his inner Guardian resourses and called his tckla to him.

It burst into his hand like a blazing bolt of lightning, and with a backflip that Duke had taught him, Nosedive swung up and swept the long, curving sword down. It hit the man's arm, and with a single breath, fell to the floor. Nosedive then reached out his left hand, and his lightsaber flew to his outstreached fingers. Standing there, two swords ignited, he stared down the other, who was cradling his stump of an arm.

Calmly, Nosedive withdrew the tckla and extinguished the lightsaber. He walked back to where the others sat and slid into the seat beside Obi-Wan. Then he looked up, and caught a glimpse of Han Solo.

He sat, arm leaning against the seat behind him, wearing his trademark black and white. He had a cocky look, and with a thick Brooklyn accent, said, "Nice show, kid." For this wasn't the Han Solo from the movie.

This was Duke.

Nosedive couldn't find his voice for a moment, then managed, "Yeah, well, I didn't like him."

Han smirked, and leaned back. "I understand that you want a ride to Alderaan."

Nosedive nodded. "We'll pay you 5000 now, and the rest when we hit Alderaan."

"Not bad kid," Han said thoughtfully. "I suppose you'll be wanting a fast ship."

Nosedive shrugged. "Shades, you got the Falcon. Fastest ship in the galaxy. I ain't bantha fodder. I know what's going on." Obi-Wan gave him an odd, sideways look. "Besides, what's the point in going to Alderaan? The Imperials are going to blow it up in a few hours with the Death Star. Our only point in going to the Alderaan system at this point is to blow up the Death Star now. That's what the Rebellion wants, and I know the weak spot."

Everyone at the table stared at him blankly. "You alright, kid?" Han asked finally.

Nosedive sighed and rolled his eyes. "Just trust me on this one, okay?" He stood up. "Meet you at dock 94 in two hours." With that he rose and left.

"The kids good," Han conceeded. "How in the world did he know what I was gonna say?"

***

Puck sat at a desk, watching a small computer screen. "This isn't good at all," He said softly, twirling his whiskers between his fingers. "How in the world has he managed to retain his memory? He shouldn't be able to do that at all!"

He looked angrily at the screen, and punched several keys on the keyboard. Instantly, another scene appeared, Darth Vader sitting in his quarters. "And what happened to him?" he mused aloud. "It isn't like my game at all."

***

Vader stared off into space, thinking. The Death Star was on course for Alderaan, where they intended to threaten Princess Leia with its destruction. Yet, Vader could not think about this future great acheivment for the Empire. Instead, his mind was on a sudden, and strong stirring of the Force that he had felt. He couldn't help but feel that someone knew about their plans, and that the same person somehow knew something much more as well.

Suddenly, a veritable explosion in the Force occurred, and he gripped the sides of his seat tightly as Vader searched for the source of the occurance. What he found surprised him. A young man, a boy really, was headed directly for the Death Star. He had extreme power in the Force, and something else about him seemed odd.

His reverive was broken as he heard the sounds of the tractor beam being powered up. They were going to capture the ship the youth was on, he realised. Getting to his feet, Vader strode to the door, his mind made up. He was going to confront this youth, and discover the meaning of these disturbances in the Force.

***

Nosedive looked uneasily at the Death Star. "Leia's there, but so's someone else."

"You can sense it?" Obi-Wan said enigmatically.

"Yeah, it's like some kind of vaccuum thing, where something else should be."

Obi-Wan nodded. "The Dark side of the Force takes on many forms. This is one of them."

"Eesh. You mean like Darth Vader? Great." Nosedive shook his head. "Hiding ain't gonna work this time guys. We'll have to get Leia out some other way."

Han turned in his seat to look at the younger duck. "Look, you naver said nuthin' about rescuin' no princess. I 'greed ta ship ya' here, not go on some suicide mission."

"Look, Han," Nosedive said calmly, immitating Phil's technique of schmoozing. "She's a beuatiful, rich princess, who would probably be so grateful to her rescuer that she'd repay him beyond his wildest dreams!"

"I don't know," Han said, his one eye narrowed. "I have some pretty wild dreams."

Nosedive sighed. "Just trust me, okay?"

***

The tractor beam locked onto the Millenium Falcon, and Nosedive stared off into space as they neared the Death Star. "There's someone on there," he muttered to himself.

The tractor beam lowered the ship onto a docking platform, and Nosedive could see scores of soldiers in formation, waiting. A black figure suddenly strode through the crowd, and Nosedive looked closely at him. He seemed familiar, but at this distance he couldn't quite place him.

The door slid open, and Han, Nosedive, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan and 10-Ya waited nervously to see who was going to enter. The huge, black figure did, and when he straighten, they all got a full veiw of his face.

"Wildwing!?!" Nosedive gasped. The gold mask with red eyes still was on Wildwing's face, but it was attached to a black helmet that covered the rest of his head.

Vader turned to look at Nosedive, his expression blank. "I don't believe we've met," he said dangerously.

Nosedive's face fell, and he shook his head. But his hand was moving slightly, barly perceptiably, to the lightsaber he had hid by his side. Vader's face turned again to look at him, and before Nosedive could really move, Vader had a red, burning lightsaber out.

Nosedive swooped his own blue 'saber up, and swung at Vader. Vader blocked it easily, then swung a slice of his own. Nosedive ducked and rolled in the Guardian technique, and swung the 'saber upward. As he was about to swing a disarming blow, everything suddenly froze. Nosedive stood up and looked around the room in bewilderment.

Puck suddenly appeared directly beside him, his arms crossed and a angry look on his face. "Well, we decided to skip alot, didn't we?" He sighed, and shook his head."Since your trying to get so far ahead, why not stick you directly in the next section? It'll save time on your part."

He snapped his fingers, and Nosedive suddenly found himself standing on a ship, and his memory began to shift, a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
