Specialist Sleeve Insignia of the Army Air Forces


In 1943 specialist insignia were approved for Army Air Force enlisted personnel to be worn four inches above the end of the right sleeve (see below). These were also worn as a pocket patch on the left breast pocket of the fatique uniform. In 1947 the use of the insignia was discontinued.
