As u would have guessed , I am a Die-Hard Fan of the great American sitcom called Friends. Monica (extreme left in the above pic) is a real sweety and my personal fav.

Never Heard of FRIENDS ??

Well for the uninitiated, Friends is all about 6 cool, young (come on, 28 IS young) people living in New York City. They live in the same building and share 2 Apartments opposite to each other . One Apartment houses the cool chicks named Monica Geller (extreme left), Rachel Karen Green (the one in the middle on top) and Phoebe Buffay (middle bottom) played by Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow respectively and other one has 3 guys called Ross Geller (on on the right, top side) ,Chandler Bing(next to Monica) and Joey Tribbiani(whos holding Phoebe) played by David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc resp. Each of them have their whims and character which u can see evolving over a period of time.

For those who haven't seen these cool guys, u can log into these Channels at these times (For the Indian audiences) :

The Characters

Here's a Brief Description of what each person does for a living and what are his/her main characteristic is :

Monica - U can also call her Mon. First of all , I wud like to make it clear that she is Ross's sister. I didn't know that for quite some time and lots of people watching it initially, don't know it either. Moving further she is a Chef by profession and till some 100 episodes worked in a trendy restaurant called iridium , after which she got fired from there. Actually, the apartment is rented by her and the other 2 gals have moved in to stay with her. Most of the initial episodes, she dates guys who are either too young or too old. She is very picky about cleanliness and notices even the smallest details. Right now , she is in love with Chandler, one who's sitting next to her in the pic above.

Ross - He is Mon's elder brother. He has a Ph.D. as a paleontologist and works for a museum. His wife divorced him after she realized/decided that she was a lesbian. Many episodes showed her pregnant and then she finally , at last gave birth to a cute kid called Ben. Ross speaks very precisely and is somewhat shy. He has been madly in love with Rachel since the ninth grade. But Rachel didn't give much attention to him since she thought he was a geek. But good news, they finally get together and u can catch them having some real hot sessions if u r lucky enuf. Also he had a pet monkey named Marcel who he had to send to zoo when he (the monkey) hit puberty.

Rachel - The Hot Blonde. That's what everyone I know calls her. She has never held a job and has always lived off daddy's money until she decides to move in with Mon and takes up a job in a Coffee House called Central Perk which is also the general hang-Out Place for all of the friends. Initially she is head over heels for Paolo, an Italian man who could barely speak English and looked like Antonio Banderas but She dumped him when he made a pass at Phoebe. After ignoring Ross's crush of him , she finally decides he's the guy for her (for the time being at least). She doesn't like responsibility at all.

Chandler - Chandler is a data processor and earns quite well. His problem is that many women in college thought he was gay (much to his chagrin) and so Chandler has a very hard time both asking women out as well as breaking up with them. He was with Janice for some time but personally I didn't like her at all. He finally broke up with her and now he and Mon are going together. Lucky guy.

Joey - He is an aspiring actor who continually gets rather pathetic roles. These include Pinocchio in a children's production as well as Sigmund Freud in a musical of Freud's life. His breakthrough role (which he messed up) was as Al Pacino's Butt Double in a movie. He finally got a break as a Doc in a great soap but got fired for saying something he didn't mean. He's the kid of the lot and pretty cute.

Phoebe - She is way out in left field somewhere much of the time. Often the source of strange looks and shrugs from the others, Phoebe left home early in life after her mother committed suicide and moved to the city where her albino male roommate committed suicide. She is a masseuse and also sings at Central Perk mostly about death and sometimes uses her spiritual abilities to cleanse auras and read thoughts of people. She has a twin sis but they do no get well together. She is very fond of animals and is the only veggie in the group. Haven't seen her date anyone till now. She's pretty warm-hearted but sometimes she just acts crazy over some weird things.

That's all about these guys. Actually there's a hell lot more but Sharad is now tired of typing. Y don't u go and just watch another episode while I decide what else to write about these guys.

TIDBITS AND MISC. :

Who will make the Best GirlFriend : There's a Saying that "Girlfriend's are supposed to look good, wives are supposed to be useful". Rachel is a cool babe with cool blonde hair and she sure qualifies for the Best GirlFriend award hands down.

Who will make the Best Wife : Monica , no doubt. She's a professional chef and a neat freak. If she isn't the ideal wife, then no one is. She gets my vote for a perfect wife.

I am sure u missed the hot Phoebe and Joey Kiss. That wud certainly have my Vote for the Hottest Kiss of them all.

Talking about kisses, Joey and Chandler got a One-Minute kiss from Rachel and Mon in exchange of giving the gals their apartment back which they had won in a bet. I think I shud start betting now. Any female takers ??

Monica: "Rachel, it's a world where Joey is a neurosurgeon!"

Monica: "Alright, tell me if this is too cute. Lesbian wedding... chicken breasts."
Rachel: "Oh, god, I think I'm gonna be sick."
Monica: "What? It's not like I'm putting little nipples on them!"

Chandler: Sometimes I wish I was a lesbian. ...Did I say that out loud?

[Joey has packed an emergency kit with food and condoms.]
Chandler: Condoms?
Joey: We don't know how long we're gonna be stuck here. We might have to repopulate the world.
Chandler: And condoms are the way to do that?
