Timothy Francis Robbins was born on October the 16th 1958 in West Covina, CA USA.
By the age of12, Tim was already a member of the Theater for the New City, an avant-garde acting group.
Tim studied drama at State University of New York Plattsburgh, U.C.L.A. where he graduated with honors in 1981. That same
year, he formed the Actors` Gang, an experimental ensemble that expressed political observations
through the European avant-garde form of theater. He`s 6ft 5ins tall and with his baby-faced looks
he is able to play any part, from slick and shrewd, to obtuse and naive.
His father, Gil Robbins was a folksinger with the group "The Highwaymen" and was a nightclub manager. His mother Mary,
was a publishing executive and he has a brother, David who is a composer. He has
three kids, Jack Henry, Miles Guthrie and stepdaughter, Eva Maria.
He met his common-law wife, Susan Sarandon on the set of "Bull Durham" in 1988 they fell in love
and have been together ever since. The couple have worked together since then making
a good team, as in "Dead Man Walking" which Tim directed and Susan starred in.
Tim is not only a very good actor but he has directed movies, has been a screenwriter,
producer and writer. Also, in "Bob Roberts" he did his own vocals and performed playing
the harmonica. (So he`s not just a pretty face!)
These are Tim`s film credits from when he first appeared on the big screen in 1984
when he was 24 years old, and up to the present day, and no doubt beyond
