Freeware for Windows 95 / 98 (European download site)

Each program can be downloaded on 1 floppy, unless otherwise specified
Each program can be used under Windows 95 and also under 98, unless otherwise specified
Each program is freeware, so it can be used without time limitation.
Steps to take:
- Find out if you have Windows 95 or Windows 98
- Insert a blank floppy in the 3 1/5 " diskette station
- Klik on one of the links below
- After a few seconds you should see a dialog box, where you can specify if you want to download to a diskette (A:) or to your C: drive
- Choose "diskette", so you always have a back-up in case something goes wrong.
- You can give another, logical, name to the program, like "midiplayer.exe" or "midiplayer.zip" instead of "dlmidip2hx4.exe" or "dlmidip2hx4.zip".
- Click "OK" or "save". After a few minutes the download is complete.
- Clicking 2 times on the "back" button in the toolbar brings you back to this page, where you can click on another link for the next download....
Your next step is to install the program on your computer.
- In case of an .exe program:
In case of a .zip program:
- If you haven't already done so, first install WinZip . If you have, then go to the previous step (2). Otherwise, go to the next step 2.
- Install WinZip by double-clicking on its name.
- Follow the directions and install the program in C:\tools\{name of the program} or C:\Program files\{name of the program}.
- You can run the program by a click on "start", "Programs", {name of the manufacturer}, {name of the program}
To install a zip file (install Winzip first, watch above):
- "Extract" the program from your diskette to your C:\temp directory or C:\Windows\temp directory by double clicking on the zip-file.
- Install the program by running the "setup.exe" in the directory where you placed the extracted files, C:\temp or C:\Windows\temp .
- Follow the directions and install the program in C:\tools\{name of the program} or C:\Program files\{name of the program}.
- Delete the contents of your C:\temp directory
- You can run the program by a click on "start", "Programs", {name of the manufacturer}, {name of the program}
