An analysis of public opinion in Northern Ireland on issues such as Irish unity, national identity, party affiliations, violence, and British Government policy

Political Change in Spain (Routledge 1989),
Organized around the theme of political change the book sees EC membership having far-reaching effects on Spain's domestic politics as well as the resolution of several ambiguities in foreign policy. The book also discusses the absorption of feminist demands into the political process, one of the clearest indications of political modernisation

A Future for Peacekeeping? (Macmillan 1997) editor,
This book reconsiders the traditional role of peacekeeping, and urges new priorities for the training and preparation of peacekeepers, as well as a clear distinction between peacekeeping and peace enforcement. Are soldiers still the best peacekeepers? Who fills the gap, and in what circumstances?
