"You can look but you better not touch....Poison Ivy." As the old song goes, Poison Ivy is character that cannot be dealt with in the most traditional manner. With her weapons of beauty, pheromones that cause everyone in sight to fall in love with her, as well as her deadly kiss, she is one of Gotham's most dangerous criminals. I think that Uma Thurman did a wonderful job playing her, she was so over the top it was hilarious. My favorite line of hers was "So many people to kill, so little time!" In the 60s series, she was the daughter of police chief Commissioner Gordon. In "Batman and Robin," she was Alfred's niece. I am of course talking about Batgirl. I have always thought that she was cool. When I was younger, I used to watch the 60s series of Batman, and I thought it was great
to see a woman fighting for a change. When I saw her whip Poison Ivy's @$$ in "Batman and Robin," I was thrilled. Gotham City deserved a female hero, and they received that in the form of Batgirl. She's awesome! My only complaint is that they gave her such a small part in "Batman and Robin." Alicia Silverstone only became Batgirl at the end of the film. Maybe next time she'll get more screen time. It's only fair.
