December 2 1998---It's pretty late,once again.Had a busy,but good day today.Made some cinnamonbuns.I already had two of them.What a pig(that's what I called myself after eating them).Repotted some plants and put them in the bedroom window.Did a load of laundry,but they are still in the dryer,probably really wrinkly.I called my mom in Sweden and we talked for about an hour.I miss her so much.Also talked to my stepdad and my sister,Nathalie.She goes to "lekis"-preschool,so we talked about that.I tried to call my sister Kim three times,but with no luck in getting her.Maybe I'll try tomorrow.That's all for now....bye!
December 5 1998---Today we finally decorated the tree.It is all in red and silver and I think it turned out nice.Last night,we went shopping and Dave bought himself a train,which is now under the tree.When Bea and I were putting all the glittery things on the tree,I couldn't help but think that it was kind of strange.I mean,it is 70 degrees(!)out-this time of year!Record highs.I love the weather,but it doesn't really go with Christmas.Today is also "Sparkle of Christmas",a yearly celebration held on Market street.Bea and I went alone,my friend Sue was supposed to have gone,too,but she backed out.There wasn't too much to see.Went home and started dinner,baked chicken.Sue stopped by and gave me a nice card.I showed her the tree and train.She left and Dave came home from his dad's,so we ate.Then we picked Sue up and we all went to watch the fireworks.Very pretty.The we took a drive around town to look at christmas decorations on houses.Oh,I also talked to my sister,Kim,today.She called.
DECEMBER 12 1998---Don't have much to write right now.Beatrice went with Dave to a college hockeygame.He broadcasts hockey on the radio for them.Today,1 year ago,we moved into this house.We didn't have to move very far,not even a mile,so that was good.My dad and brother are moving to Kungsbacka,near my sister Kim.Dad got a new job there.Now,when I go "home"to Sweden,I can't just go to visit them.That isn't good and it'll be strange to go by their old place and not being able to pop in and say "Hi".I called and talked to Tobbe and dad today.Bye.......see you soon....!
JANUARY 8 1999---I haven't been doing much of anything with my homepage lately.So it's been a long time since I wrote anything here.I am sooo happy!I am going to be a mom!I haven't been feeling very well last few weeks.Thought something was going on so January 1st,I did 2 homepregnancy tests.Both positive!I was crying(happy tears).The 4th I had a blood test done in the hospital,because I wanted to really make sure.Also positive!!This Monday,the 11th,I'm going to the doctor for my first checkup and I'm hoping to get an ultrasound done to see how far along I am.Later on,when I have an ultrasound picture,I will show it to you in my photoalbum.
We are expecting a snowstorm here today.How nice....Bye....
JANUARY 14 1999---Monday,I went to my first doctor's visit.My appointment was at 2:45,didn't get in until 3:30.A lot of paperwork and an exam etc.We also saw our "baby" for the first time!That made it seem so real.We saw the heart beating,the head and short little arms and legs.It has been snowing here for several days,we have a lot of snow now.Schools closed yesterday and today.I was supposed to go back to the doctor's today for a few things,but I think we'll cancel that.I also go back Feb.12.Today,I am 7 weeks and 5 days along.The due date is August 28-mom's birthday.I have felt better the last few days.Very tired,though.(ZZZZZZ)
JANUARY 31 1999---Super Bowl Sunday!We have some people over to watch the big game,but I'm not really into football,so I came down here to write a little.
I have a pretty bad cold,with a bad cough.I have tried coughdrops,but they don't seem to help too much.
Today,I am 10 weeks and 1 day along!I am excited about the pregnancy and I'm feeling better too.I talk to my sister Kim in Sweden a lot.We are the best of friends and since she has already had a baby,she can give me advice.I know I can worry too much about things,but I just want to do what's right for the baby.I recently found out she is expecting her second baby!We think that she is about one month behind me.
I tried to call mom today,but she was at work.I talked to my stepdad instead,and to my little sister,Nathalie.I wish I could see her soon and hug her.
Yesterday,we had out new recliner chairs delivered.So now,I finally have one of my own,too!It is very comfortable.We had to rearrange the furniture in the livingroom to make them fit in the room better.It is looking nice.

FEBRUARY 10 1999---Dave took Bea to school this morning,since he had to take his dad to the hospital for tests.I wish I could have slept until at least 8,but no.Friday I go to the doctor again.I am hoping to hear the heartbeat and we are bringing a blank videotape and they are recording the baby onto the tape.Yesterday,Dave and I went to Elmira.I bought the first piece of baby clothing!Since we don't know the gender yet,I bought something that would be fine for either a girl or a boy.I also got a book about pregnancy-week by week.I have already read almost half of it.We are going to Florida on or about March 11th.We will be away for almost one month.I'm looking forward to it so much.Nice to get out of this weather.In a few weeks,I'll have to buy some maternity clothes.I have seen some decent ones and they weren't too expensive.Now,the time is 8:09 and I'm ready for some breakfast.Bye,bye.......................................................It is now almost 2pm,the same day.I had to tell you I bought my first maternity outfit!Later...
FEBRUARY 16 1999---Had to tell you that the baby looked good on the 12th!We got some new pictures and that was nice.The doctor said that the baby was very lively,which is good for the muscles.It was so cute.I have gotten a few more bayclothes and yesterday,I got a pair of maternity pants.Not the greatest looking ones,but there isn't much to choose from.On the 13th,Dave had to broadcast up in Rochester,and a few of us went with him.Bea and I took the van to a nearby mall,but got back about halfway through the game.Dave struggled driving home,because the weather was so bad.Got home about 1 in the morning.
Next day was Valentines Day.I got some nice things from Dave,and I gave him a couple of things.
FEBRUARY 24 1999---I can feel a "bump" on my lower part of the stomach now!That's exciting.Two days ago,I recieved a package in the mail,from Kim.It was for my 25th birthday on March 5th,but I already opened it.It was a nice pregnancy/baby book-in swedish.Also got a few clothes for the baby.I'm going to have Dave take a picture of my stomach on Saturday,when I am 14 weeks.That's also when I will be in month 4-the start of the second tri-mester!We have decided to leave for Florida on March 12.We'll drive all day,stay overnight at a motel,and then finish the rest the following day.It's a long trip-I know because I have done it several times.I usually buy a couple of magazines to read on the way(when I'm not driving of course!)The time is 8:21 and I'm going to get some breakfast.
MARCH 7 1999---I just sent an e-mail to Kim,and I included a picture of my stomach,which she wanted.There are a lot of pants that I can't wear anymore.I bought a new pair a few days ago.They are too big on top right now,but they are comfortable.We have had a lot of snow lately.I do not want any more!I feel like leaving early for Florida!My birthday was two days ago.Dave made it nice and he had a party planned for me.I got some nice gifts.The same day I went to the baby doctor at 1:30.Baby's heartbeat was 150.I wonder if it's a boy or a girl!Well,hopefully we'll find out April 15.Mom told me not to let her know the gender,but Kim and dad said they want to know.
JUNE 25 1999(!)---Can you tell I have been busy??!!I can't believe it's been such a long time since I wrote!
Tomorrow,I'm 31 weeks along,so that means one week until I am 8 months pregnant!I am pretty big now and have some of the common problems like backache and trouble breathing etc etc.We have gotten the baby's crib and I made the crib with some cute sheets and comforter etc.We also have the carseat,the changingtable and a few other things.But,they will have to wait here for a while,because we are going to SWEDEN July 4,until the end of November!That will be nice since I haven't seen my family for almost one year now.Dave and I found out that the little one inside is a GIRL!I am so happy about it,and have bought a few outfits for her,but the rest will be bought in Sweden.Almost everyone knows it's a girl,including MOM.She didn't want to find out,but my grandmother happened to tell her.Dave and I are still thinking about names,but we are close to deciding now.I can't tell you yet!All for now!
JANUARY 6 2000---Happy New Year!Time really goes by so fast.Our babygirl is 4.5 months old already.She was born August 15,1999.She was 19 inches long and weighed about 6.8 pounds.We named her Eva Lillian ELICIA.Eva is from my mom and Lillian was Daves mom's name.She is mostly a very good baby and we love her a lot.Tonite,Dave and I are going to the movies!It has been a real long time since we did that,so it'll be nice.Daves dad will babysit Elicia.She is sleeping right now,that's why I have few minutes to write this.Hope it won't be too long 'til next time I write!
JULY 8 2000---Just a short note for now......Four weeks ago,I got a really big surprise! My mom,stepdad and youngest sister Nathalie showed up here in Corning!!I had no idea they were coming.We have had a great time showing them around the area.They went back to Sweden two days ago,so now it's very emty here I miss them very much.Elicia is in bed for the nite.She is standing up,almost taking steps on her own.She is a handful,but I love her!Dave is working,coaching the baseball team,Elmira Pioneers.
