Our minds can't contain the scope of eternal justice. We can't understand why God would be so cruel to forever condemn people who reject him into everlasting punishment because we base it on the idea that we wouldn't do it that way. We don't think we could be that mean. But we also couldn't love by God's definition. We wouldn't love anyone enough to allow our child to be unfairly tortured & killed just to offer the POSSIBILITY for our enemies to live forever.
You cannot cling to this offer of hope that God is extending, without the possibility of the consequence of hopelessness for those who reject it.
