CARING

Bettas, like other fish, want to have a clean tank to live in. They need their tank cleaned once a month, although once every three weeks is better.Bettas should have one-fourth of their water changed at least once every two weeks.

Bettas should have a lid on their tank because they sometimes jump out.

Bettas should not be kept with other fish or other bettas.

Bettas need to be feed at least two times a day, but three times is better. If you are leaving, do not feed them a lot all at once. Feed them lots of highly nutritous foods starting at about one week before you leave. Bettas like extra care and want to eat lots of nutritous foods all the time. They love a clean tank and varieties of nutritous foods, as much as you like a clean house and McDonald's for lunch. Remember that!!

Heaters that are anywhere between 75W to 100W will do. Their water temperature should be between 78 degrees and 85 degrees F.

Bettas do not need an aerator because they have an organ that enables them to breath oxygen from the top of the tank. All in all, bettas are pretty easy to take care of. They don't require walks, shots, or even baths.
