Potter Poetry
Twas long past sunset on a certain day
Now, twelve long years gone by, and since that time
In his first year, which truly wasn't short
(Work In Progress... And sorry about the elephant's sharpened tusk thing... I had no choice...)
Got any of your own poetry? Can it compare to my Shakespearean verse? Likely... Well, send it off to dragonfyre52@hotmail.com

Which previously had behaved in such a way
So as to honor a child widely awed
With cloak-clad wizards out in daylight broad
And swooping owls and stars raining down
All night. A certain man of constant frown
Of thick-necked bruish red-faced angry brawn
Did ask, "What on this earth is going on?"
But, as I said, tis now long after dusk
The moon shines like an elephant's sharpened tusk
(Or even like a corn stripped of its husk)
And on the street an old and wizened bloke
Removes a silver gadget from his cloak
And with it makes the whole street dark, like that!
He calmly starts conversing with a cat
And soon a man arrives on motorbike
Unloads a baby boy with eyes just like
The eyes of Lily Potter, and a scar
Like lightening. They have traveled from afar
To take this baby, orphaned by the struggles
Of good and evil, off to live with Muggles
Not a peaceful moment has gone by
For what with snakes escaping from the zoo
With dreams of flight, escapes on rooftops, too
With broken glasses and with hair afright
And what with trying quite hard not to fight
With Dudley, can any wonder why
The twelve long years have easily flown by.
But one day, as emerging from the bare
and bug-infested cupboard 'neath the stairs
A letter came to change young Potter's life
And though his uncle went to awful strife
In order to avoid its sweet receipt
Eventually they punctured his deceit
And Harry was then sent, which wasn't tragic
Off to the Hogwarts School to learn some magic!
He once again defeated Voldemort
He made two quite close friends, both of them on
The train. Their names: Hermione and Ron
His teachers ranged from horrible to great
From Dumbledore to McGonnal to Snape.
He made a hearty enemy; a boy
From Slytherin named Draco Malfoy.
