Mysterious Ravenclaw

Does it seem odd to anyone else how little we know about Ravenclaw?
* Although the Gryffindors have Herbology with the Hufflepuffs and Potions and Care of Magical Creatures with the Slytherins, we never see a class with the Ravenclaws.
* It is never mentioned explicitly in the books who the Head of Ravenclaw is (although in interviews Rowling has said it is Flitwick), while Professor Sprout, McGonagall, and Snape are mentioned as the Heads of their Houses frequently.
* We know less about the Gray Lady than Nearly-Headless Nick, the Bloody Baron, or the Fat Friar, who are at least mentioned casually every once in a while.
* We know only a very few Ravenclaw students as compared to Slytherins or Hufflepuffs (this is also kind of due to the fact that we don't see any classes with the Ravenclaws).

Why the lack of information? It makes some sense that the focus is on Gryffindor and Slytherin, because that is the underlying or original battle that is being played out again in the story of Harry vs. Voldemort, but why is there more of a focus on Hufflepuff than on Ravenclaw? It's possible this is simply an unintended oversight, done to save space in already lengthy books. But I don't see why, in order to do this, she would deliberately breeze over an entire House. What other explanation can there be?

Perhaps, sometime in the next two books, Ravenclaw will play a large part in the plot, and we will find out a lot of things we never knew about it. Do we know what House Lily was in? Could she have been a Ravenclaw? And we know we will learn more about why some people become ghosts and some don't in book seven. Will we find this out from the Gray Lady, or will we somehow get to know more about her and find this out in the process? There's no real evidence for this theory--it's more based on the lack of something than its presence in the books. But it's been playing on my mind a lot throughout the past few books, and I'd like to know what other people think of it.

Have any comments about this theory? Hurrah! Send them to me at dragonfyre52@hotmail.com and make my week!
