Check equipment specifications, data sheets for compliance with codes, standards and client
specifications/procedures.
Check mechanical/piping construction drawings for compliance with P&ID's codes,
standards and client specifications/procedures.
Vendor Surveillance:
Visit vendor facilities to monitor fabrication/assembly of pressure vessels, compressors,
pumps, drivers, etc to verify work is being performed per client specifications and applicable codes.
If required, I could live at the vendor facilities during critical phases of equipment fabrication.
Witness performance testing, including bearing temperature stabilization and vibration
signatures, of rotating equipment.
New Construction Surveillance:
Follow construction of new units, tank fabricatons and revamps of existing units to ensure
construction is in accordance with client specifications, and applicable codes. Provide field support
engineering, as needed.
Follow installation of rotating machinery to verify instalations is in accordance with client
specifications and applicable codes.
Develop Test Procedures and Start-up Equipment at Field Sites.
Develop test procedures for manual start up of rotating equipment and mechanical facilities
in general.
Work with DCS type configurations(e.g. Fisher Rosemont)and develop test
procedures for start-up of rotating equipment and mechanical facilities in semi-automatic/
automatic mode.
