Joe Raposo

Joe Raposo was another key member of Sesame street's core group, the show's resident composer. He supplied Jim Henson (in the person of Kermit) with such hit songs as "Bein' Green." Once, Joe described a song he was writing to a New York Times reporter as follows: "I want to describe the promise of every morning and the curiosity and hope in every child's face. I would like to think that this theme of hope and wonder is at the root of all my work."
