THINKING OF NG...THINKING OF NG... THINKING OF NG.... "Since April of 1998, I have been thinking about Ng on daily basis. I do this privately and publicly as performance art. Ng is the name I have given to an interNet Girl who lives her life publicly, some would say wantonly, on the internet for all to see. She does this via a live cam which bares her life to all the world. On an NPR interview in April of 1998 she said that she was not an exhibitionist. This charmed me. Because I respect her assertation, but could not get her off my mind-- like Windsong she echoes perpetually through my thoughts, endlessly surfing my synapses-- I decided that I would think of her only. Not only. Not exclusively, I have known other women. Like think, not stare. Since I can not shake my obsession with Ng, I ONLY think of her, instead of looking at her on her web site as so many do. My obsession would be pure. Ng lives in my thoughts. Everyday. I began a performance art piece in April 1998 in which I vowed to think of her daily for 5 years. So far I have not wavered. There have been 4 public performances of this piece and, of course, every day in public thoroughfares people look at me and wonder: 'Is he thinking of Ng at this moment!?' Hey!
