Began his pro career with Kamloops (WHL) in 1992. Led Oklahoma to a CHL Championship in 2001 and named playoff MVP. During the 2002-03 season, logged a CHL record of three consecutive shutouts (192:17 minutes). Recorded a career high 8 shutouts for Tulsa during the 2002-03 campaign. In his 9th professional season, Rod brings championship-caliber netminding to the Motor City. The goaltender won a CHL championship in 2001-02 with Oklahoma City, where he was also named playoff MVP. He followed it up the next season with Tulsa, setting a CHL record with 192:17 consecutive scoreless minutes in net. That year, Rod had 32 wins and a career-high eight shutouts.
