United Hockey League Announces All-Star Sponsor
Lake St. Louis, MO – The United Hockey League and the Adirondack Frostbite announced Monday that Pepsi has been named the title sponsor for the 2005 UHL All-Star Classic.
“This sponsorship is an extension of our ongoing relationship with the UHL and its players and we’re looking forward to playing a prominent role in the UHL All-Star Game,” said Mike Nast, Sr. National Sales Manager, Pepsi-Cola North America. “The fans will get the unique opportunity to watch their favorite current and retired stars take the ice in what promises to be an exciting event.”
This season’s all-star game will take place at the Civic Center Plaza in Glens Falls, NY on January 24th. For the first time in professional hockey history, the all-star teams will be named after beverages, its title sponsor’s brands, Pepsi and Mountain Dew. The Pepsi team will be made up of players from the Eastern teams including Adirondack, Danbury, Elmira, Flint, Motor City, Port Huron and Richmond. The Mountain Dew team will consist of players from the Western teams: Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo, Kansas City, Missouri, Muskegon, Quad City and Rockford.
“The United Hockey League is proud to have Pepsi as the title sponsor for this great event. Our relationship league-wide with Pepsi has been a wonderful partnership for many years. Pepsi's willingness to be part of this event and the UHL is something that we appreciate very much. I know this All-Star Classic will be a great showcase for the league,” stated Richard Brosal, President/CEO of the UHL.
