Motor City Mechanics Acquire Two Quad City Players
Fraser, MI – The Motor City Mechanics are pleased announce that they have acquired two players from the Quad City Mallards, Mike Burgoyne and Jeff Doyle.
Burgoyne, a native of Hamilton, Ontario, has spent the past two seasons with the Mallards, playing in 19 games. Doyle also spent the previous two seasons in Quad City, totaling ten games. The Mechanics travel to Fort Wayne tonight for their fourth meeting of the season against the Komets. It will be Burgoyne and Doyle’s first game with Motor City.
“With all of the recent injuries, we are happy to have two new faces in the line-up and we are expecting a positive turnaround in 2005,” Mechanics Head Coach Garry Unger said earlier in the week.
The Mechanics will continue their road trip tomorrow night in Kalamazoo, facing off against the Wings at 7:30pm. Please note that there is no game in Port Huron on January 16th as is printed on the schedule.
