Fraser, MI – The Motor City Mechanics are revving their engines for exciting upcoming promotions.
SKATE WITH THE MECHANICS! Thursday, January 27th (that’s tomorrow!) the Mechanics will be skating at Campus Martius park from 7-9 pm. Campus Martius is an outdoor skating rink located in the heart of downtown Detroit (800 Woodward Avenue between Michigan Ave and Fort St). Be sure to bundle up and come skate with your Motor City Mechanics!
Mechanics to visit Children’s Hospital! From 1-3pm on Thursday, January 27th, several Mechanics players will visit children’s Hospital in downtown Detroit. Players will be interviewed by kids in the “no poke room,” the children’s “save haven” within the hospital no doctors are allowed. A check will be presented to Children’s Hospital by the Mechanics for the money that was raised during the holiday jersey auction.
ALL-STAR POSTER GIVEAWAY and Mini-Mite All-Stars! On Friday, January 28th, the Mechanics host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30pm. The first 2,000 fans will receive Kevin Hansen Pepsi All-Star posters. Be sure to stick around after the game for an autograph session with Hansen! 106.7 The Drive will host the Mini-Mite All-Stars for a game during the first intermission!
NASCAR Night, Meet CARL EDWARDS! Sunday, January 30th, the Mechanics take on the Kalamazoo Wings. Game time is 5:00 pm and it’s NASCAR Night. Roush Racing and NASCAR Nextel Cup rookie driver Carl Edwards will be on hand to sign autographs and drop the ceremonial first puck.
