MECHANICS EVENTS GALORE

Fraser, MI – The Motor City Mechanics are looking ahead to a very busy week with much excitement!
On Thursday, January 27th from 7-9pm the Mechanics will be skating at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. Campus Martius is an outdoor skating rink located in the heart of downtown Detroit (on Woodward Ave between Michigan Ave and Fort St). So bundle up and come skate and meet your favorite Motor City players.
Also on Thursday, several Mechanics players will visit Children’s Hospital in downtown Detroit from 1-4pm. Players will visit with kids in the “no poke room,” the children’s “safe haven” within the hospital where no doctors are allowed. The Mechanics will present a check to Children’s Hospital for the money that was raised during the holiday jersey auction.
Friday, January 28th, the Mechanics host the Fort Wayne Komets at 7:30 pm. Friday’s game will feature Kevin Hansen Pepsi All-Star posters for the first 2,000 fans! 106.7 The Drive will showcase the Mini-Mite All-Stars during the first intermission and don’t miss the 1st Annual Guns v. Hoses charity hockey game beginning at 5:00pm. The Guns v. Hoses game will feature the Macomb County Sheriffs Department battling the Fraser Fire Department, with a portion of the ticket proceeds going to each organizations respective honor guard.
Carl Edwards, Roush Racing and NASCAR Nextel Cup rookie will be at The Garage on Sunday, January 30th for NASCAR Night. The Mechanics host the Kalamazoo Wings at 5:00pm. Edwards will be available for autographs beginning at 4:00pm and will drop the ceremonial first puck.
