"The purpose of the Caledonia Historical Society shall be to promote
the understanding and appreciation of the historical and cultural
heritage of Caledonia Township and the surrounding area by:
- encouraging historical and genealogical study and research,
- collecting, preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting historical
and cultural objects, artifacts, and sites,
- encouraging public participation in the activities of the Society
through publications, programs, and the preservation of archives and historical
collections, and to encourage the establishment and operation of a local
historical museum."

The Caledonia Historical Society is a non-profit organization. Membership
is open to anyone, with annual dues of $5.00 per person and $10.00
per family. Business memberships are $25.00, Researcher Memberships
are $50.00, and Historian Memberships are $100.00.
Donations are welcome and gratefully received. Please use the post office box
address listed above to submit donations and memberships.
Regular meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
Visitors and new members are always welcome.
The Caledonia Historical Museum, maintained by the Society, is located in the
Caledonia Library, a branch of the Kent District Library System,
which is housed in one of the first church buildings
built in Caledonia. The Historical Collection may be accessed whenever
the library is open. There is usually a Society member present in the History room on Thursday afternoons.

Sesquicentennial
Celebration events for 1998. As soon as we are able, we will add more
