Paintball is one of the largest growing sports among many americans today. This espeacially true among kids 12-18!!! Although the sport of Paintballing is fun it has it's set backs, espeacially among the kids who play and can't support their"bad habit"! Paintball is fun but can get very expensive, very fast it's like an awsome drug if you may. My friends and I discovered that soon after playing a few...100 times!!! But that didnt, hasn't, and won't stop us from palying this AWSOME SPORT!!! So I encourage you to go out and play some ball!!
The Basic equiptment for paintball is a: good reliable gun and mask/head and face protection, a quality , air system, and paintballs.
There are many different brands of equiptment, some good, some bad, some expensive and some inexpensive. Now, if you know that your not going to play alot I would suggest buying a Brass Eagle Product. The reason I say this is because they're inexpensive! Along with being inexpensive the are not made of high quality materials. I am only saying this because I own a TigerShark and had to replace part after part in it, my friend Jeff and his brother Tim also had some of the same problems with their TigerShark's!!! I would have to say "go with a TIPPMAN or a Spyder because of quality and price. The reason I am telling you this is because my second gun was a Spyder Semi-Auto and they are very reliable easy to maintain. I never had any problems with this gun. Good job KINGMAN! I now own an AutoMag and I love this gun to death. These guns are so reliable I don't ever have to worry about anything. This gun has also given me no reason to complain. Thumbs up to AGD(Air Gun Designs).
For face protection, again I say that Brass Eagle will work but you will expirence problems such as: scratching of the lenses and fogging!!! With Scott Goggles or JT Goggles you would be better off but you will pay more for quality and safety! I would have to say out of all of the masks that I have used....I like the JT X-Fire mask the most. The X- Fire is an affordable mask with superior protection and a wide variety of add ons and attachments to fit your personal needs. Some of these add ons include: prescription glass inserts, zero fog(to keep clear vission on your targets at all times), combat vission( temporary tints to color your lense),X- wind fan(cuts down on fog and would probably act like a miniture cooling system),visor(cut down on sun in your eyes).......and so on.
Not much with air systems other than Compressed Air/N2 or Nitrogen is cheapest in the long run, Co2 is the cheapest in the short run but can cause some problems in a few markers that can't handle liquid. Co2 is by far the most popular however it is rapidly being put into 2nd choice by newer players and pro's. Nitrogen beats CO2 in shooting accuracy because it doesn't fluxuate with the hot and cold air temperatures like Co2. But it is up to you to decide on what kind of system you want to run.
. Now we're on to Paintballs. R.P. Shear and Zap Proballs are the cheapest if bought in quantities of 2000 & 2500. These are also some of the straightest shooting and most durable Paintballs in my opinion. Once again it's up to you on what you want to purchase, but I go with safety and quality!!! Please pay a visit to The Paintball Store Online at: www.thepaintballstore.com where you can purchase everything you need to get started!!! Happy Painting.
