Rhinoceros
Species: Teleoceras - Proterum
Late Miocene
Location of find: Florida
Measurements are roughly: 8 foot long, 30 inches wide, head is 4.5 high
Teleoceras is an extinct genus of grazing rhinoceros. It lived in North America and southwestern France during the Miocene epoch, through the early Pliocene epoch.
Teleoceras had much shorter legs than modern rhinos, and a barrel chest, making its build more like that of a hippopotamus than a modern rhino. Like the hippo, it was probably also semi-aquatic. Teleoceras had a single small nasal horn. It was a quite heavy animal, reaching 1.81 tons in weight.
Original fossil skeleton and cast replica also available.

Large Beardog Daphoendon Borocyon skeleton |
Full Skeleton measures 87" Long
One-of-Kind EARLY MIOCENE Unknown Male BEAR-DOG Skeleton
Species: DAPHOENDON BOROCYON Species(Unnamed & Never found before species )
Species Description: Unknown Extremely Rare (NON-EXISTENT except this one) Extinct Species of Bear-Dog of Miocene.
It was assigned to amphicyonids. Amphicyonidae, colloquially known as "bear dogs", is an extinct family of large terrestrial carnivores belonging to the suborder Caniformia (meaning "dog-like"), which inhabited North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa from the Middle Eocene.
While initially related to bears it is now found they may be basal caniforms . This is one of the most unusual carnivores. They were as tall as black bears, and moved here from Eurasia. It weighed 150 kg in life, and combines features of canine and feline predators.
Daphoendon resembled a giant dog with a flexible cat-like body . These bear-dogs with long limbs and specialized in chasing down prey on the open plains. Note that the (often similar looking) members of the family Hemicyonidae are also often called "bear-dogs" (although they are increasingly referred to as "dog-bears" to avoid confusion).
To my knowledge nothing has been found yet until now on this .This is of great scientific importance to everyone, and unlimited value. A similar beardog, Borocyon Robustum was described in 2008 from partial remains.
Geological strata: Early Hemingfordian Geological period: Early Miocene
This skeleton was discovered in Dixie County, Florida.
Male Beardog Family: Daphoendon Genus :Borocyon Species: Unnamed Unknown Species of BEAR DOG
The skull is 14.5” long. Skeleton is 87” long with tail . NO one on earth has anything of this animal and I have the whole skeleton with skull. Over 90% of the skull is original bone and much higher than 90% total on the skeleton. Only a few smaller upper foot bones are restored on each foot and one fibula.
The amount of bone is well over 95% on this which is unheard of even for a known species.
The skull is 14” and amazing and its mounted beautifully for your enjoyment.
It has an almost invisible frame. This is an amazing find as no museum has this anywhere!
Almost all of feet inner bones are from the same beardog.
This has no papers describing it but we know it’s close to robustus which was only described from only 2 pieces of skull in Nebraska.
|
This is of extreme scientific value

Dinictis Rare fossil skeleton! |
Photo is of cast replica showing one of many possible mounting positions.Dinictis, also known as "false saber-toothed cats", had a sleek body 1.1 metres (3.6 ft) long, short legs 0.6 metres (2.0 ft) high with only incompletely retractable claws, powerful jaws, and a long tail. It was very similar to its close relative, Hoplophoneus. The shape of its skull is reminiscent of a felid skull rather than of the extremely short skull of the Machairodontinae. Compared with those of the more recent machairodonts, its upper canines were relatively small, but they nevertheless distinctly protruded from its mouth. Below the tips of the canines its lower jaw spread out in the form of a lobe.
Dinictis walked plantigrade (flat-footed), unlike modern felids. It looked like a small leopard and evidently its mode of life was similar to that of a leopard.

Triceratops: Real Triceratops skull for sale |
Triceratops fossil skull for sale. This Triceratops is the left side only, on a steel stand and plywood "pedestal". If you would like we can mount the skull on a stand or reconstruct the other side. |
From the nose to the frill it measures 6 foot 4 inches and has minimal restoration. The skull measures about 45" high from the end of the horn to where the mandible would attach. The jaw itself is 35" long and 11 1/2" at the tallest point with a 9" row of good teeth, if I do say it myself. I am estimating it’s weight at 300-350 lbs. not counting the jaw. It was found by Dr Steve Nicholas in Hell’s Creak S.D. in 1996. It has had one owner. Please contact us for price and more information.

Triceratops: Real Triceratops horn for sale |
Triceratops fossil brow horn for sale. Triceratops brow horn from the Hell Creek formation of the end of the Cretaceous. The bone is highly mineralized from a sandstone zone in western SD. (Surface areas that needed restoration are shown in gray and in maroon in the last 3 photos taken before touch-up painting, i.e. the photos with black background, and I think that the prep process ended up working well. Most of that is on the "back" side.)
This is a heavy, solid horn at nearly six pounds but is very portable. Note that it is not just the end of a long horn, but rather the major part of a bit shorter but stout horn. This is evidenced by the concave or cup-shaped surface at the wide end (see pics # 3, 4 & 5); that feature represents the upper reach of the hollow or sinus cavity that always extended only a limited way up from the base of the horn. Collected on private land with permission. It takes years to find a good Triceratops horn and this is it! |

Rare Dinictis Sabertooth cat skull and skeleton |
Beautiful LARGE Sabertooth cat skeleton. The skull measures 9.5". Dinictis sabertooth cat in block with Lots of skeletal bones included
Species: Dinictis felina Saber- Cat Skeleton with beautiful skull
Species description: The long –legged dinictis with razor –sharp sabers was the smallest and the earliest saber-tooth cat that roamed North America beginning in the Eocene Period. They stood at least 2 ft tall with cheetah-like habits and diet, and were solitary predators hunting an abundant food supply of grazing ungulates including camels and oreodonts. Using their highly developed saber-teeth they would likely sever the blood supply in the neck of their prey in the initial attack.

Geological period: Middle Oreodont Zone
Discovered in: Chadron, Nebraska. This species lived all over North America.
Unbelieveable Monster Dinictis Saber-Tooth cat. Skull measures 9.5" On 16" x 16" Matrix with Many Skeletal Parts. Dinictis Sabercats typically don't get this big - but this one is! Cervalces Elk-moose skeleton
|
The Stag-moose or Stag moose (Cervalces scotti) was a large moose-like deer of North America of the Pleistocene epoch. It was slightly larger than the moose, with an elk-like head, long legs, and complex palmate antlers. The species went extinct approximately 11,500 years ago, toward the end of the most recent ice age, as part of a mass extinction of large North American mammals.
The stag-moose frequented wetlands in a range from southern Canada to Arkansas and from Iowa to New Jersey. As the glaciers retreated, moose (which had crossed the Bering land bridge from Asia.

Cervalces was unusual. It had a deer-like face but a moose's body and strange broad antlers that stood out straight from either side of its head. Each antler branched into irregular tines and spikes that extended in all directions - some of them backward. As fossils, the antlers, which are distinctive, are commonly preserved whereas relatively complete skeletons are rare
We have one original fossil Cervalces skeleton for sale. The skeleton is currently being mounted (articulated).
I can supply measurements on individual elements as femur, humerus, etc on Cervalces, but have no way to give total height or length until it is fully articulated. The antlers have a spread for length of six feet two inches and a height (anterior and posterior branches) of three feet four to six inches. This is no doubt the largest rack of any cervid extant or extinct ever recovered in USA. I can say judging by the Princeton skeleton that it is all as large as a full grown bull moose, but with antlers almost three times the size. It is also size ably larger than the Princeton fossil shown in this photo.
While this skeleton costs considerably more than most, it is also more rare. You will never see another complete cervalces skeleton for sale anywhere.

Mosasaur: Prognathodon fossil mosasaur skull
|
Proganthodon Mosasaur Skull - From the later Cretaceous era. This is a remarkable skull of one of the most ferocious Marine predators from the Age of Dinosaurs. Prognathodon was a fast and efficient Marine reptile apex predator, and focused on large fish and other marine creatures for food. The projecting, globular teeth were well suited for crushing bony fish and mollusks. Progranthodon and relatives patrolled the shallow Cretaceous seas until the K-T extinction.
This fossil is particularly interesting since it has been preserved in an almost perfect bi-lateral situation. Also interesting are the "healed teethmarks" from attacks from another male (territorial disputes), or if this were a female, "love" bites from a potential mate.
|
This is an exceptional fossil, measuring 58" X 49" in a sturdy frame, with an attractive stand
There are "bite" marks from another Mosasaur--if this is a female, love bites from a male, or if this is a male, perhaps territorial fighting. In either case, a good addition to the fossil.
$35,000 (plus crating/shipping)

Excellent Oreodont Skull, Merycoidodon culbertsoni, Oligocene South Dakota
Oreodonts
Merycoidodon, Eporeodon, Leptauchenia, Miniochoerus
Oreodonts are extinct Artiodactylids (even-toed mammals) most closely related to camels and pigs, with no close relatives living today. All are herbivorous, browsing on a diet of leaves and young shoots. Although tempting to think of them as feeding on "grass", true grasses did not appear until the late Oligocene, evolving and expanding widely during the Miocene as savannahs appeared during the cooling and drying of the that epoch.
Oreodonts fed on different types of vegetation than many modern artiodactylids do and therefore occupied an ecologically different niche than many living ungulates. True grazers such as equids did not start to appear until the middle Miocene when grasses became the dominant type of low forage. Found only in North America, oreodonts would eventually rival the large and diverse extant populations of modern bovid artiodactylids in Africa (antelopes, wildebeest, and buffalo) or the equally diverse populations of deer and goats of Asia.
Oreodonts are separated into two Families; Agriochoeridae was the earlier of the two families and consisted of a morphologically homogeneous group recorded from the latest Bridgerian or early Uintan North American Land Mammal Ages (NALMA) of the Lower to Middle Eocene to early Arikareean NALMA of the late Oligocene.
Although artiodactyls, all eight genera of agrichoerid oreodonts demonstrate marked parallels in the development of numerous derived dental and postcranial characteristics. They also had clawed toes in later forms, a trait not seen in more advanced oreodonts, and rarely in other groups of artiodactylids. Difficult to interpret ecologically, the large toe relative to forearm length of Agriochoerus resembles a characteristic feature seen in tree kangaroos of New Guinea and northeast Australia. Geologic and faunal data suggest this family inhabited gallery forests and savanna woodlands; only one genus, Agriochoerus, is recorded after the Chadronian NALMA.
Other than dentition and diet, the more derived oreodonts of the Family Merycoidodontidae could easily be compared in diversity with the antelopes of Africa or the deer and goats of Asia. Undoubtedly oreodonts filled all available dietary niches, much as modern artiodactylids do, oreodont specialization limited perhaps by their relatively small size in comparison to most living artiodactylids. All oreodonts possess more hypsodont, fully selenodont molars and a lacrimal fossa in front of the eye. Some of the later oreodonts had tapir-like skulls, suggesting the presence of a mobile lip or short proboscis. Put simply, their teeth are designed for cutting and chopping leaves, with large lateral projections extending perpendicularly in the last two upper molars (see picture below) further assist in this process. Such projections are not present in modern artiodactylid teeth.
In eastern Wyoming, Nebraska and the Dakotas where vast numbers of oreodonts skulls have been collected, Merycoidodon culbertsonii is ubiquitous and perhaps the best known of the family, surviving from the late Eocene until the late Oligocene. Other taxa common from the late Eocene through early Oligocene of this region include Miniochoerus gracilis and Miniochoerus douglassi. Many oreodonts may have been social animals, their skull modifications and large canines suggestive of wide-gape threat displays seen in modern hyraxes, hippos, and peccaries. The common genus Leptauchenia was thought at one time to be semi-aquatic because of the dorsal position of its eyes. A Whitneyan genus found as habitats dried and the weather became cooler, Leptauchenia is now thought to have resembled a modern African hyrax in habit, living among rocks for protection from predators. Its eyes were located on the top of its head to reduce its silhouette. Another common genus of oreodont, Eporeodon, was found during the Arikareean NALMA. Larger than Merycoidodon, it size would have been an asset in maintaining constant body temperatures in a period of increased cooling.
Oreodonts survived from the late Eocene through the early Miocene and are extremely abundant in some formations. Regardless of their abundance, however, all but one member of the Agriochoeridae failed to survive past the Chadronian NALMA. Only the largest merydoidodontid oreodonts, apparently better adapted to feeding on tougher vegetation, survived until the early Miocene. Then increased aridity and cooling favored the evolution of grasses, thus eliminating the last of this primitive browsing superfamily that failed to adapt to climatic conditions that favored the evolution of true grazers like the horse.
If oreodont skulls from these three states alone were more thoroughly studied, the taxonomic diversity of Chadronian through Arikareean oreodonts would undoubtedly increase, and our understanding of a major mammalian component of the Cenozoic would be greater.
Allosaurus pes claw for sale |
| An Allosaurus foot claw with arthritis.
Allosaurus fragilis
Late Jurassic Morrison Formation, Buckshot Quarry, Moffat County,
Colorado
The foot claws of Allosaurus were primarily used for traction and helped the hunter to pivot and turn quickly in the swift pursuit of its prey. They also were used to pin the prey down during capture, as it desperately struggled to escape, allowing the Allosaur to administer the "coup de grace" from its powerful jaws or gigantic clawed hands.
An excellent quality foot claw with pitting on the proximal end consistent with severe degenerative arthritis. Fossils like this are called "pathological" specimens and are highly desired by collectors. A crescent-shaped wedge in the center of the dorsal surface (or top) of the claw has been restored in addition to minor small crack repair amounting to 15% of the surface area of the claw. The tip is complete and original. Measures 3 ˝ inches long by 1 ˝ inches high. A rare pathological specimen of the highest quality. $3,700 (plus shipping) email us.

Mosasaurs belonged to a group of unique seagoing reptiles that lived contemporaneously with the dinosaurs. Platecarpus was a midsized mosasaur reaching 25 to 30 feet in length.

Einosaurus procurvicornus Dinosaur skull |
Einosaurus (hooked nose horn). This is a very rare Einosaurus procurvicornus(Einiosaurus) skull with all 3 horns. This is a fairly new discovery in 1985 and is called buffalo lizard-named in 1995. It is a medium-sized centrosaurine (short-frilled) ceratopsian from the Upper Cretaceous normally found in Canada. . It is a relative of the Triceratops and this is a sub adult. It was a herbivore that would have grown to about 20 ft long and was short-frilled dinosaur compared to Triceratops. Geological Formation: Two Medicine Formation Location: Discovered 2 miles from the Canadian border north of Dupuyer, Montana NW Montana. All previous Einosaurus fossils have been found in Canada. This is a very rare dinosaur skull. Very few have been discovered. This skull is the complete upper skull with Braincase. It is missing some frill behind dinosaur’s right eye and lower jaw. It has no restoration only crack filling. The horn measures 23 inches. The nose curves downward like a can-opener. Einosaurus had 2 horns off the frill. This skull has both horns with one being from this specimen, and the 2nd coming from a slightly larger member of the same dinosaur. It is a good match for size. These horns are not connected to the skull but can be with a little restoration. I have seen reconstructed skulls of this dinosaur go for $50,000 to $60,000 while still in the ground! This skull comes with pictures, and details of the discovery. It was found in a ravine with a herd that died from a sudden flood . It is one of most unusual dinosaurs that ever lived and it may have gone extinct due to the horn pointing down (and not being able to use it for defense). 44" long sub-adult. This is an opportunity to get a skull for an economical price. I fell in love with this dinosaur the second I saw this skull. It is just beautiful. Displays well on top of a table or any piece of furniture and can be carried by two people. I can’t say enough about this dinosaur. It is beyond words. All the prep work has been done and is ready when most others are sold while in the ground for exorbitant prices Call for more details on this one. Price: $21,900 | Photo above is for comarison only. This is an Einosaur skull that was recently up for auction. You can compare it to the pictures on the left and you will see how nicely this skull will look with a little restoration. Few remains have been found of this animal and most museums do not have any remains of this animal. There are very few people who have this is private collections - so your purchase will make you among the most rare of museums or collectors.
