All links below with capitalization will bring you to that place/person/thing's website; those in all lowercase give you more personal information about me!
I am a female, Christian graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, where in May 2002 I finsihed my bachelor's of science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology.
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am working towards a doctorate degree through Pitt's School of Medicine Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program. You can check out my Angelfire blog or read the same stuff in a different format at my Blogger blog.
As always, I would like to direct visitors to read about my "gold friend" Amber. We've been through a ton together, and she's the best!! She inspired me to make a website worth looking at. Check out her Homepage.
At MSU I worked in Dr. Kaneene's Food Safety and Toxicology laboratory where I isolate Salmonella and Campylobacter from samples from dairy farms around the midwest. I also did some molecular biology work in the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Whittam where I worked with E. coli. My work history includes other laboratory experiences and animal care positions.
I am a former member of the MSU's Women's Ice Hockey Club Team and still love playing hockey a lot. I am an alumna of MSU's chapter of Alpha Phi Omega(APO), a national co-ed community service fraternity. I served there for two years as the Director of Finance on the executive board. My original and "real" home is in Kentwood, Michigan.
Other things I love include animals, giving blood, reading, writing, eating, knitting, and sports.
