THE BIBLE SAYS:

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death." Revelations 20:14-15 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. AND WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE." 20:10b "AND SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER."

Jesus said "I came NOT to call the righteous, but SINNERS to repentance" Luke 5:31-32b "Excet ye repent, ye shall likewise perish." Luke 13:3b.

Lets see what God's word has to say about this:

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life...” (I John 5:13)

Who are sinners?

God's word says everyone.
Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ps. 53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
1Jo 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us

What is the big deal about sin?

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death;

What happens when a sinner dies?

Heb 9:27 "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment"
Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Rev. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

What if I'm a good person?

Isa. 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

Can I save myself?

Prov. 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Galatians 2:16 By the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Is there hope for me?

The good news is YES!
II Peter 3:9 The Lord is ..not willing that any should perish
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.
Philippians 2:8 He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Isaiah 53:6 The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sin, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.
Acts 4:12 Neighter is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST BE SAVED.

I'm a sinner ... how do I receive forgivness?

God wants us to repent of sin.
Repentance is turning from sin & being sorry for it. Having a change of mind toward all your wrong doing.
Acts 17:30 "God..now commandeth all men everywhere to repent"
Acts 3:19 "Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out"
Prov. 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Isa. 55:6,7 Seek ye the Lord... Let the wicked forsake his way.
Luk 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Ok, I am sorry for my sins, but why do I need to be "saved" or "born again"?

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again (made alive again from your condemned state), he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

How do I become "born again"?

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Rom 9:9&10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

I want to become born again but I'm not sure what I need to do.

Here is what God's Word says: (please take your time to read these verses carefully.)

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Something you might like to do is to just go to God in prayer. Prayer is simply talking to God in your own words from your heart. Tell Him you would like to receive by faith His FREE GIFT of salvation & eternal life. Repent of your sins, ask Him to save you. Talk to him about everything that is on your heart and simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and what HE did for you in your place.

What happens then?

Eph 2:1 "You hath He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins"

II Cor. 5:17 "Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"
The Riches of His Grace -- 215 things that are true of me now that I am saved!

AFTER SALVATION - WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD!

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Rom 5:11 And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Rom 4:7 [Saying], Blessed [are] they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Rom 4:8 Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Rom 4:23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
