SYNOPSIS OF
PURPLE CHIBI ACTION TEAM
The synopsis is arranged by episode, listing the title, number, inspirations, and any new characters who are introduced, as well as a brief plot summary. It is recommended that you have watched/read/experienced the listed inspirations before reading the episode, to understand some of the references.
Inspiration: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Final Fantasy 8, Heavy Gear.
New Characters: Steve, Dave, James, Danny, Theo, Josi Kousei, Narita, General Mills, Blonde, Chris, Ryan.
Summary: PCAT #1 is the first of the series, in which the main characters of Purple Chibi Action Team, and the rest of the Action Base staff are introduced as they repel an attack from the evil enemy. Things get worse for the heros as they are dispatched on a suicide mission, but Steve has a plan; Purple team destroys the enemy vanguard, then lures the leader of Blue Manga Action Team into the surviving foe. Though the battle results in horrible defeat for the good guys, they all seem happy enough in the end.
Inspiration: Neon Genesis Evangelion
New Characters: General Motors, General Failure, Pete, Terry 'Psycho Cyborg' Mills, Tom, Selphie, The red Evil-Robed-Guy, the green Evil-Robed-Guy.
Summary: The evil conglomerate attacks Action Base with a Systeme d'Operation Bataille (SOB), and can't be hurt unless an Absolut Vodka field is used. The only person who can use it is Steve, and so he goes on to defeat the SOB, destroying the city in the process. This episode saw the first use of the terms 'NETI' (mecha) and UNShield, as well as a lot of backstory.

Inspiration: Diablo II, Final Fantasy 3, My dad's birthday, Those Who Hunt Elves, Dominion Tank Police, Ultima Online.
New Characters: Gareth, Phil, MK, King DeFranko, Alex, Matt, Eric, Kisekae Ningyou, Black Hentai Action Team, the blue Evil-Robed-Guy, the orange Evil-Robed-Guy, the yellow Evil-Robed-Guy.
Summary: MK betrays UNShield and steals the NETI plans. Danny traces him to a porn shop and kills him, but it turns out that the plans are encrypted with a five digit code, and each digit is tatooed to a woman working for the evil conglomerate! Naturally, Purple team, with help from Pink Baka Action Team, strips the chicks and saves the day!

The Shining.
New Characters: The Director, Jimmy The Jew, Keith, the UN Security Council Members (Canada, Ivory Coast, Syria, Sino-Slavia, and Cuba), Akis, A bevy of ho's, Mick, two mysterious, shadowy figures....
Summary: UNShield is inspected and found to be incompetent. Sweeping changes are implemented, and when the enemy attack from the air, nothing can be done. Then, it is discovered that the man in charge of the inspection is a traitor! The only thing that saves the day is Red Seiyuu Action Team, who put aside their embarrassment over their ugly NETIS and launch to slay the director and save the base from the air assault. Of course, as the episode concludes, all is not as it seems.......

Inspiration: Stereotypical murder mystery, McDonalds Shiftwork, Street Fighter (both the games and the uncut Japanese edition of the movie), The Matrix.
New Characters: MK (Heeeeeee's baaaaaaaaack!), Janitor Bob, a bevy of ho's (there's more of them this time)
Summary: Theo wakes up feeling contrary one morning, and sets about making life miserable for everyone at Action Base. Then, he turns up dead in an alley, brutally murdered, and everyone is a suspect. It's up to commander Steve to find the real murderer and bring him to justice before it's too late!

Inspiration: TRHS Badminton team
New Characters: None.
Summary: Phil is defeated by Matt, his superior at the sport of badminton. But then, MK bursts in, wielding quad badminton rackets, and incapacitates Matt before he has time to defend himself. Can Phil find a way to beat MK before it's too late?
Inspiration: Vision Of Escaflowne, Celebrations (Christmas, Yule, Kwanza, Ramadhan, Hannukah, Chinese New Year), Star Wars 4, Warhammer 40k, Boondock Saints.
New Characters: Corporal Punishment, Fairy, Kate, FatCat, Bartlich
Summary: The Action Teams are sent to Action Base 2, to defend it while the regular forces are on Xmas vacation. But an insidious plot is afoot, and EvilCorp decides to deal the UN a fatal blow, and to stop them someone must initiate the nuclear self-destruct. Can the Action Teams make the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of humanity?

Inspiration: A psycho at my school, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek.
New Characters: Gabriel.
Summary: Ryan, Gareth, and Kate are adventurers in a land oppressed by the evil archangel Gabriel. Their mission: To slay him and free the people of the land from his tyranny, while stealing his hoard of treasure. The most interesting part of this episode? 'How does it manage to fit into the PCAT continuity?????'

Summary: The evil MK has kidnapped Janitor Bob, and Action Base can't function without him. Deprived of their NETIs, and even their regular uniforms, can the Action teams penetrate into the deepest depths of Evil mountain and bring Bob back?

Summary: The Four Devils of Bakane have siezed Paris with a large army of Evil troops. Can the combined might of all the Action teams, deprived of their NETIs, defeat them and liberate the city?
Inspiration: Ayanami Rei's goo tube, Short skirt anime nurses (and fan service in general) *N'Sync should also be listed here, though they were less of an inspiation and more of 'I-mock-them-because-I'm-jealous-and-wish-scribbling-chibi-cartoonists-had-the-same-teen-sex-appeal-as-those-f***ing-bishonen-boy-band-bastards!' (but that's a rant for another time).
New Characters: Keffanna.
Summary: A new nurse arrives at Action Base, and all the guys begin to drool. Though she befriends almost everyone, her presence causes Josi to become irrational. But, is there a darker reason for Josi's behaviour? Read and find out!
