Hard Tasker HP bar
Linda,,,you better give me a name... as you can see, I dont do well making them up....LOL
I did the recipe a second time and the results came out the same. I used this for hp and it came out beautiful. Pours like a dream.
Linda Tasker Crystal Cottage Soaps
Magical Sunset
tried the same colors (red and black oxides (natural pac from pigment lady)) again... It just doesn't work well, more a marbled look than a colored soap. This time I used 'masculine musk (about 2 teaspoons, peppermint (30 drops) and YlangYlang (30 drops) whew!!! Does this batch ever have strong scent (it was a 5#batch)
I cut it yesterday and set out to dry a tad more, it is hardening beautifully.
Shower Soap
I call it "Shower Soap". It it hard, so it keeps well in the shower.

Farm Fresh Soap
This is one I call Farm Fresh Soap (adapted from something in Cavitch's second book)
*(the orange colored palm oil; optional if you don't care to have your soap the color of egg yolks, don't bother with this and simply use 8 oz of palm oil)
Dissolve lye in water. Cool to 90 degrees. Warm buttermilk in microwave for 25 seconds and add to lye mixture. Melt oils Combine at 100-120 degrees. Pour in mold. Insulate. Unmold after 24 hours. Cut and cure.
Gardener's Soap
This is my gardener's soap I made and gave to the swap... it's a hard bar, with great exfoliation.
Lemon-Avocado soap
This is a nice soap ,nice lather, nice smell, and good for yout skin/face or anus....LOL sorry had to do that....
Comfrey Citrus Soap
Here's the Comfey Citrus Soap recipe, I am paranoid because I don't follow the percentage of coconut, palm recomended in all the books, but I haven't had any complaints yet and my mom has psoriasis and my soaps have helped alot. My goal is to make a really soothing, healing , soap for her. Anyway here's the recipe if you want to use it.
I mix at high temps around 140-150
Traces quickly with stick blender, ready to come out of mold before 24hrs.
Biker Cindi's Avocado Mint soap
"also the Teat Tree soap LOL"
This was my third attempt at making CP, and the first two were dismal as heck. I'll be glad to share. Actually , it was a combination of Cavitch's "one-stop soap" recipe (I think that's what it's called) and the Tea Tree/Mint recipe from Country Living Homemade Soap, and I superfatted with avocado oil. People seem to really like that one.
I added the botanicals / Avocado oil/ EO's at trace.
Shelle's Cocoa Butter Soap
This is my basic recipe. It makes a nice hard bar, I have tried the same recipe with no jojoba and it tends to dry my face a little bit, so it does make a difference. I have tried this recipe with several different EOs, FOs and colorants. I haven't found one it didnt't work really well with, except that I will say when I intend to use for an overpour, I will add a higher percentage of water as it tends to trace really quick .
Herbal Shampoo Bar
I found this recipe and tweeked it ... Its great,Its not drying and doesnt leave your hair frizzy, well not mine anyway, I have very course curely hair, and this actually makes my hair soft and managable.(I do still use conditioner as before)But I find if people dont use conditioner usually , this bar is great for them also.I just finished making a big batch with wheatgerm instead of shea, I keep you posted
Use your basic soapmaking instructions for this recipe, I normally do temps around 125s and I add GM at trace along with FO.(purely herbal)
Olive Free (Junk soap)
I made this recipe while going through withdrawls, waiting for my oils to arrive. This isnt the hardest bar, But it IS conditioning, good lather, and fast on the trace. Everyone that's used this soap, loves it,,
Basic soapmaking instructions, Keep temps under 125 for the coconut milk doesnt normally turn colors like goatsmilk, but if it gets to hot it will turn tan. Ive been meaning to put 2oz cocoabutter in this recipe or even add palm or tallow where crisco is,, to make a harder bar,,But remember what ever changes you make,Always run them through the lye calculator.
Cottage Castile
This is my Bit-o-Honey castile recipe, its not slimy and actually produces a stable to bubbly lather. Ive added real honey, goatmilk and oatmeal to it .It smells just like the candy.... Yummmy
Use basic soaping instructions. I keep temps around 125. I add honey, goatmilk, oatmeal at trace. I added (Oatmeal, milk and honey) fo from Sweetcakes. It doenst harden none to fast, Its your typical castile ,but it can be unmolded after 24 hours.
