So what makes him so darn special?

As you already may know, J.C. Chasez (pronounced Sha-ZAY... similar to Shazaam, that horrid motion picture monstrosity) first got his start in the singing/acting biz with the Mickey Mouse Club, where he stole the hearts of junior high teenyboppers for four years until the show's cancellation in 1994. On the show, J.C. sang, danced, and acted in comedy skits and the pseudo-soap opera "Emerald Cove;" he also took part in recording the MMC album. (J.C.'s got the flava... *shiver*) His stint with the show, albeit brief, gave him a great deal of experience which still proves to be an invaluable asset today. According to the man himself, "It was really great. It helped to prepare me for what I'm doing now. We filmed several shows every week, so I'm used to a heavy work schedule. Also, we produced an album and toured quite a bit, so I already know what life on the road is all about."

Affectionately known as the " big daddy" of 'N SYNC, J.C. is serious and professional when dealing with his work; he makes sure that his fellow group members are eating right, and often urges them to get more rest on the day before a photo shoot. (Aw, J.C., you're no fun...) Along with this sense of responsibility, J.C. is an adamant opponent of drugs and alcohol. Maybe J.C. should try preaching to that Gilligan guy about how to say "no" in sticky situations.

An avid listener of soft music, J.C. is the artsy-fartsy type, frequenting coffee houses and jazz clubs.

Observations

~ Stop sticking your tongue out at the audience, J.C.

~ So what is on that necklace J.C. wears all the time? This is what the man said himself: "I wear a leather ribbon with my starsign around my neck. I bought it at a music festival, where I was with my parents..Since that day I wear it day and night."

~ Guess that George Clooney cut didn't work for him. But does it really work for anyone??? Yeccch.

~ J.C. sure does have a lot of trouble keeping that pesky little pants zipper closed. Apparently, during a performance in Switzerland, he went through two songs before realizing that he was revealing his family jewels (okay, maybe not completely) to the world. Oh... but there's more! In "Tearin' Up My Heart" from the Disney Channel In Concert Special, we catch a glimpse of J.C.'s boxers once again. Now that's 'ndecent exposure! Someone ought to give that guy some duct tape to fix his problem. Hmm... doesn't this make you wonder why this even happens in the first place? (I won't even comment on this one... if you get my point.)

~ This next one comes from Celena and JLC (sup, y'all?): In FANatic, when Chris tells Justina to stick her butt out before she lets go of the bowling ball, it looks like J.C. is checking out her ass. J.C., you pig, you!

~ It's so hard to make snide comments about J.C. when there's almost no dirt on the guy.

WIPEOUT!!! (I just had to get that out of my system.) That guy has an incredible voice -- what can I say? Yeah, yeah... I know all the 'N SYNC guys are talented, but you have to admit that J.C. is especially gifted when it comes to singing. I just love hearing that voice of his (of course, it's usually the only voice I hear, since he and Justin are pretty much the lead singers...). I'm a little surprised, however, that J.C. doesn't seem to be as popular with the fans as his fellow mouseketeer Justin is; after all, shouldn't there be a lot of girls out there who still carry a torch for the guy even after the MMC gig? Oh well... that will have to remain one of life's little mysteries.
