'N Sync star Justin Timberlake graduated from school on Friday, June 2nd, in his home town of Memphis Tenessee - live on stage.
An old teacher from Timberlake's school surprised the singer on stage in the middle of his concert show to present him with his high school diploma.
A member of the audience says, "It was really sweet. Justin was singing "I Drive Myself Crazy" and suddenly this guy arrived on stage. He turned out to be one of Justin's teachers. It was great."
_____NSYNC is going to be performing "It's gonna be me" at the MTV Movie awards, airing on June 8. Also performing at the show are Metallica & D'Angelo.
Didn't get NSYNC concert tickets like me? Well, don't cry, cuz I've got good news-I read in the paper that on July 27 (or 28, I forgot already) HBO is airing NSYNC's concert LiVE from Madison Square Garden. I don't have HBO, but my mommie's friend is taping it for me, yay! It's not gunna be the same as actually being at the concert, but I'll have a good view & I can watch it over & over again :D
Lance was 1 of 10 celebrities on a recent "Who wants to be a millionaire?", he was the 9th 1 to go & won $125,000 for his chosen charity, Challenge for the Children Foundation. The celeb version was paroided on SNL, hehe.

In the new June/July issue of Teen People, Justin, JC & Lance all made the 25 hottest under 25, Justin of course was #1, poor Joey didn't make the list! Maybe next year Jo Jo! Chris didn't make it cuz he's over 25.
Justin was also voted the "most beautiful" in a recent People online poll; he edged out Britney Spears & Nick Carter by having 263,000 votes.

*** 'N SYNC ON PLAYSTATION : 'N Sync was on a United Kingdom program called "BEDROCK" and they confirmed that they will be making a Sony Playstation game. Chris said they hope to have it out in time for Christmas. Sony Playstation gave them a demo game, but they thought it was crappy. So, 'N Sync is helping in designing one. Chris said that they are considering a type of racing game because they can't go around blowing people up.

It appears as though *NSync is out to shatter every record in the book. On Saturday (March 25), Ticketmaster reported record single-day sales (850,000 tickets sold), driven mostly by 600,000 first-day sales for *NSync's massive tour (allstar, March 22).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, 51 of the group's 52 concert dates sold out in their first day on sale. The sales were no doubt driven by the popularity of the boy band's latest album, No Strings Attached, which moved 2.4 million copies in its first week alone (allstar, March 29).
Ticketmaster processed the record-breaking sales through a combination of its more than 3,400 retail locations, its charge-by-phone lines, and the Internet.

As predicted, 'N Sync has broken the US record for most album sales in one week. The lads creamed their boy band rivals Backstreet Boys by clocking up just over 2.4 million sales for 'No Strings Attached' which more than doubled the record set last May by Backstreet Boys' 'Millennium' which sold 1.13 million albums in week of release. 'No Strings Attached' will debut at pole position on this week's Billboard 200 albums chart and it outsold the No. 2 record, Santana's 'Supernatural', by over two million copies. 'Supernatural' spent six weeks at No 1 and has sold nearly two million copies since Santana's nine-Grammy triumph. Ice Cube comes in at No 3 with 'War & Peace Vol 2 (The Peace Disc)' which also trailed by over two million sales to N'Sync.

The new album from 'N Sync, No Strings Attached, has become the first album to sell more than a million copies in a single day. According to estimates from its label, Jive, more than 1.1 million copies of the new record were whisked up Tuesday, the day it hit shelves — almost breaking the record for first-week sales of an album in only one day. But perhaps more impressive, it appears that Wednesday's sales were almost identical. According to Daily Variety, the drop-off between first- and second-day sales was about 3 percent, meaning that No Strings Attached could possibly sell all 4.2 million copies shipped to retailers in a single week, a previously unheard-of possibility. The first week's sales figures will officially be available next Wednesday, though it is likely that the final tally will be leaked to the media before then. "This was the largest first two-day sales we've ever seen," Stan Goman, chief operating officer for the Tower Records retail chain, told Variety. "We expect the momentum to continue." The numbers are about three times better than those for the Backstreet Boys' Millennium, which set the record for most sales in one week last year, selling 1.13 million units and going on to become the best-selling album of 1999 (it sold 9,445,732 copies in the United States between its release in May and the end of the year). Millennium also broke the first-week sales record set by Garth Brooks' Double Live in 1998, when the country superstar's album sold 1.085 million copies in its first week on the shelves. The only other album to sell a million copies in a single week is the soundtrack to The Bodyguard, which moved more than a million units during the holiday shopping season in 1992."The 'N Sync album did the biggest first-day sales in our history — more than two times what the Backstreet Boys did," said Musicland spokeswoman Dawn Walberg. "Second-day sales weren't as high, but they were still phenomenal, and we expect them to continue."

*NSync's JC Chasez Helps Pen Tracks For Wild Orchid

*NSync heartthrob JC Chasez, who has writing credits on three tracks from his group's latest effort, No Strings Attached, has lent his songwriting skills to former RCA labelmates Wild Orchid.
Chasez has co-written and co-produced three tracks from the dance trio's as-yet-untitled album, slated for a mid-summer release on RCA Records. The tracks, "Lies," "Fire," and "You Knew," are currently being mixed with the rest of the album in various New York and Los Angeles studios.
Like Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell, who penned a tune for labelmate Don Philip (allstar, Aug. 5, 1999), Chasez, like other boy band phenoms, is making a decided effort to shed the image of boy band members as non-writing, non-talented puppets and working toward establishing himself as a credible songwriter in his own right.

*Nsync breaks the soundscan barrier
The music industry's bar has been raised, as 'N Sync's Jive debut "No Strings Attached" exceeds 2.4 million units in its first week of sales, the first time in the SoundScan era that any album has sold more than 2 million copies in a single frame. 'N Sync's opening volley more than doubles the previous SoundScan-era record set last year when labelmates Backstreet Boys' "Millennium" moved 1.13 million copies in its first week. Only two other albums -- the soundtrack from Whitney Houston's "The Bodyguard" and Garth Brooks' "Double Live" -- have earned one-week totals in excess of 1 million units since The Billboard 200 adopted SoundScan data in May 1991.
In other 'N Sync news, Amplified.com says that its weeklong offer of a free, streamed version of a remix of the group's single "Bye Bye Bye" has resulted in the most deliveries of any song the company has offered to date. More than 1.7 million streams, in Windows Media and RealAudio formats, were delivered via Amplified's distribution network.

Living Toyz has snagged the license to create toys based on one of today's hottest groups: *N Sync! Fresh from their announcement of the Korn plush doll (making its debut at Toy Fair), Living Toyz has garnered another highly sought after license, but in a totally different genre of music. RTM has your exclusive first look at the conceptual art for the first *N Sync toys. These five lads have caused quite a stir with their female fans and now they are poised to be immortalized as toys. Instead of producing action figures, per se, Living Toyz is creating a line of fully articulated 12-inch marionettes of the boys. The marionette theme stems from the title of *N Sync's latest album, No Strings Attached. With a video in a similar vein, the representation seems like a natural fit. Look for these marionettes to be available later this year. Living Toyz plans to pursue other musical properties but would not disclose any details just yet, preferring to play their cards close to the vest for the meantime.
