Brazilean Armor

With the largest collection of US light and medium tanks, Brazil recently bought some Belgian Leopard 1 to increase his modern MBT fleet. In addition, this country produced a whole line of wheeled LCV and APC developed from the US M8 Greyhound and 6x6 military trucks. There was also a local development of a 90mm gun light tank from the M3 Stuart platform (X1A, X1A1 and X1A2) and around 50 entered army service. Today just a small number remain active.
The Engesa EE-3 Jararaca armoured car stand for reccon, patrol and internal security tasks.
With the end of the cold war, local military industry suffered a mayor collapse with the availability at low prices of NATO surplus.
Interesting projects, like the native developed Osorio MBT were suddendly interrupted when companies like Engesa and Bernardini came into bankruptcy.
Recently, Brazil tok delivery of a handfull austrian tank hunters for his marine army corp.
