Peruvian Armor |
With a long tradition with former Soviet Union equipment, Perú trust his armor strenght mainly in chinese revamped T-55 and some french tank hunters. There are some rumors about the purchase of about 150 T-72 from Bielorusian army surplus. Allthough, the total lack of pictures in compairson with the widely promoted Mig-29SE and the lack of any purchase of maintenance packs, suggest that the original intention did not materialize. Bielorusian inventory consisted of the T-72A model of the second production program. Around 100 BRDM2, Cadillac V100, Fiat Tipo 6614 and Mowag Roland armoured cars stand for reccon, patrol and internal security tasks.
