Breeder Spot Light: Jenny Arlen(Looney Lop Rabbitry)
Jenny has been raising English Lops for several years. This past month she began her open showing career. Over the years the years those of us that have been lucky enough to know Jenny have seen her walk away with several BOB and BOS's in both open and youth. When she moved up to Eaton Rapids Michigan from Ohio she was one of the very few Engish Lop Breeders around. Th breed has now began to spread throughout the state. Once people see the long ears and the breeds curious but loving personality they become addicted. Last year at the ohio nationals Jenny got BOS with her solid Sr. Doe.
Congradultion's goes out to Jenny on her 1st place at the National Lop show in Texas this past March with her Solid Int. Doe Engish Lop!!!! Also five of the top lop's in America belong to Jenny and she is number third is sweepstakes points.
NEW VARITIES
Many breeders have been asking about the new varities that are up and coming in the mini rex breed. I am aware or two colors that are being presented this year at nationals, blue eyed whites and otters. Several breeders are also working on sables.
In Michigan Im only aware of a few breeders that are breeding the otters. Most of us that are breeding the otters only have blacks but some might have a few new colors by now.
