January 2002 Update:

EAA Approves NEW Chapter 551 Bylaws

EAA Headquarters has approved our new EAA Chapter 551 Bylaws. The board of directors has been working on this project for several months.  Our new Bylaws are based on guidelines from EAA headquarters and tailored to meet the needs of our chapter by the board of directors. The preliminary bylaws were presented at the November 19^th chapter meeting and approved for submission to EAA. The board met on December 3^rd to make final revisions and the new EAA Chapter 551 Bylaws were submitted to EAA Headquarters on December 9^th, 2001.

We received a reply on December 11^th approving our new Bylaws.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that members be present (or send a proxy vote) at our January 21^st meeting to give final approval of our new Bylaws.  These Bylaws are the legal operating document for our chapter. They are required by both EAA Headquarters and the State of Minnesota.

PLEASE COME TO THE EAA CHAPTER 551 MEETING AT 7:00PM ON JANUARY 21^ST, 2002 AT LEADERS AIRPORT IN CLEAR LAKE, MN, SO WE CAN FORMALLY ADOPT THESE BYLAWS.
