power to help reverse this horrible decision. I am proud to be a part of the Loyalists,

I am appalled at both the firing of Michael Nader AND the shabby way it was handled by

Michale Nader leaving is very sad news. He's a great actor and adds style and class to the
show. Once again, TIIC screw up and let go one of it's finest actors/charcters and leave
characters we can't stand, namely, Raquel and her brat son Max. Some day they'll see the
light but it will be to late. I'm sure that it won't be any time at all until we'll see
Michael on another show. At least I have a picture with him! Best of luck to you Michale.

I have NEVER been so upset over a TV show character leaving. It was tough when Smits left
NYPD and when Clooney left ER...but this is so much worse!!! Dimitri has been in my living
room for 7 years!!! I can't stand losing him!!! He is THE most exciting, endearing
characters on TV. The resentment I feel for AMC is very strong...they have treated Mr.
Nader and the fans terribly and I cannot support the show anymore. I will not watch
(unless Nader's Dimitri is featured of course)AMC again. But, hey...they don't care...they
have their teeny-bopper audience.

I did not like Dimitri at first, he was too serious and always talking with his hands. But
recently he has lightened up and is very witty and Nader's real sense of humor can be seen
in the way he delivers his lines. I would like to see him stay and keep his newfound
cleverness and lightness. But do not pair him up with Brooke-- do not pair anyone up with
Brooke until she hits a middle ground between her old too serious matronly attitude and
her new devil may care attitude which is so out of character and too young for her. Same
for Jackson. Bring back the old sexy Jack. Dimitri too has turned out to be quite sexy
lately. Give him someone to play off of. NOT Finola Hughes.

I have watched ALL MY CHILDREN since the very first episode (REALLY). I truly hated
hearing that Michael Nader had been released. As someone who is over 45, I really don't
care to watch the Tad and Dixie show, nor do I want to watch a geeky looking actor like
the one now portraying Scott go moon-faced over the character of Becca. Give me Erica and
Dimitri, Stuart and Marion, Adam and Liza, and Palmer and Opal and Vanessa ANY day! ALL MY
CHILDREN has become quite boring recently. Give us back some of the old characters (along
with their fire)! Michael Nader, as Dimitri, gave truly convincing performances, and
Dimitri sure gave Erica a run for the money. They were SPLENDID together! I have never
been a fan of Finola Hughes and to sacrifice Michael Nader in order to pay Hughes is a
travesty. I may have to quit watching AMC if it does not reinstate storylines that give
something to us old-timers!

and angry about this news. Michael Nader gave the fans a fantastic character in Dimitri.

I have been a loyal AMC fan since practically its beginning, but it is getting harder and
harder to tolerate some of the story lines and having the soap decline in its ratings. I
think it is a great mistake to let Michael Nader go. Surely the salary of Finola Hughes is
not worth losing such a talented actor. It remains to be seen what Finola can bring to the

AMC will never be the same without the talented Michael Nader. This news saddens me. It's
getting harder and harder to watch AMC knowing that Michael Nader will no longer be a
member of that cast. Dimitri is such an important figure in the structure of Pine Valley.
What is Pine Valley without the senior member of the Marick family? That is like saying
what is AMC without the Chandlers or Ms. Kane. AMC of late is not the show that I have
loved for these past 25 or so years. I do not recognize my favorite soap. The core of AMC
has died and along with this death, goes the many fans who have made it what it is.

I have no absolute favorite character. However, I especially have liked Michael Nadar. He
is a very good actor and has done well with his role as the count. I also liked the
Emond/Maria storyline and wish there was some way that she could find her way back to the
show. If Mike Roy can be resurrected why can't Maria. I have never particularly cared for
Finola Hughes, even when she was on GH. I have always liked Linda Dano, even though I have
not watched her show. She was at one time a talk show host with another person which I
enjoyed so much; however, it has been years and I have forgotten the name of the show. She
also appears on QVC quite frequently and I like her attitude and positive outlook on life.

I have always liked Michael Nader, even before he was on AMC. I think it stinks how they
hardly ever had him on in the past year or so. It's not his fault, it's the writers. He is
a very talented actor and they could have really showcased his talents. They just want to

are stilted, innane. Ratings are dropping because the show is neglecting it's core

Why is AMC firing one of its strongest male characters? There are so many other characters
that could have been eliminated from the show that no one would have noticed - this new
female lawyer (boring) just to name one. AMC has neglected ALL of their strongest
characters for the past year - Brooke, Palmer, Jack, Edmund and Trevor just to name a few.
Bringing on Finola Hughes was a wonderful idea and she will be a huge asset - but why cut
Michael Nader when there are so many other weakly defined characters that could be cut
without any notice to the AMC family. I've watched AMC for 20 years and for the first
time, I have considered not watching the program any more. This decision is only
convincing me that AMC has gone downhill with its decisions regarding characters and story
lines.

naughty. The only thing that he needs is a good storyline. The writers have really dropped

Michael Nader is quite obviously (except to AMC executives apparently) the best talent AMC
has, next to Susan Lucci. He has great screen presence, is a very talented, passionate
actor, and can even be a really good comedian when called upon. The problem here is the
writers haven't been calling on him lately. That's hardly Nader's fault or a reflection of
his talent. That's stupidity on the AMC writers' part. I would certainly rather see Nader
stay than Winona come on board. She is hardly worth that price. I would certainly hope
that AMC executives will listen to the fans that keep them on the air and keep Michael
Nader, which is what most fans want. No one cares if Wynona comes on board or not but they
certainly care if Nader goes.

Michael Nader is a key ingredient to All My Children undoubtably. His skill, enthusiasm
and smile-filled performances, not to mention his original look compared to the rest of
the AMC male staff, allow the show to have variety and wonderful talent. His pairing with
Susan Lucci a few years ago was one of the best pairings in AMC's history and his pairing
with John Callahan, whether as foe or brother, is honestly my favorite male pairing. I
simply cannot picture our program without the dark and mysterious ways of Wild Wind's
Dimitri nor can I imagine John Callahan performing half as well as he currently is after
Nader's departure. I strongly urge All My Children to spare his job and start looking at
cutting some high-priced models (who can't act by the way, i.e. Scott Chandler) and start
looking for inexpensive teenagers who would broaden the show and it's viewers' age groups.
I have sons who have watched AMC all their lives because of me and now that they are
older, they are not quite as interested because of the lack of youth (under 20 years old)
and the Michael Nader firing doesn't contribute positively to their depleting interest.

I wish they would bring back Michael Nader, like so many other fans, I enjoyed his
relationship with his brother on the show, Edmund. I hated it when they had Dimitri having
a tryst with Maria, so totally out of character for him. Dimitri is one of the most
interesting characters on the show and I think he will be sorely missed. They could have
easily given him a front burner story and kept his character alive. I would have preferred
more of Dimitri and less of Mateo and Racquel. What a waste of screen time. Dimitri added
elegance to the show. Actually I always thought he was the perfect mate for Erica. He was

I have watched AMC since day 1. Remember running home from school just to catch the tail
end of it. My favorite characters of all time from this show have been, in no particular
order, Dimitri, Tad, Erica, David (yes I hated him at first), Langley, Jeff & Mary
Martin and Billy Clyde Tuggle (yes, a baddie, but ya gotta love him for being so
ridiculous).....My favorite scenes of all time...When Erica "freaked" at her

First, many thanks to the people who put together this web site. Let's hope it will help.
I have been watching AMC since I was a child. Since the day it aired, in fact. It seems
the producers no longer care about the fans. I'm sick and tired of watching them railroad
all our beloved cast members out of Pine Valley in order to make room for shallow newbies
who can't even act. I wanted to switch stations when they let Tim Dillion go and was
appalled by the treatment he received after so many loyal years. I had hoped that
MacTavish would be replaced by someone with brains but that is obviously not the case. If
Nader goes, so do I. ABC has no consideration for its cast or fans and I will happily go
elsewhere. I no longer know the residents of Pine Valley and it's turned out to be pretty
PINE BORING.

I can't believe they are "dumping" Dimi because of a DWI incident. If anything,
that incident could only have helped the "All My Children" sagging ratings. I

There seems no reason to remain in Pine Valley now that most of our beloved characters
have been sent packing. ABC does not seem to have any regard for the fans or the loyalty
of its cast. What's to lose by switching the channel at this point? I intend to do just

I've lived with bats but happily not in the belfry. That's where the bats seem to exist

Each day I tape AMC and watch it the evening. It has always been a comfort to tune in and
be at one with my family in Pine Valley. Gone are those fine days. Rather than comfort, I
come home to a room filled with the sound of some whining little brat. If it's not the the

fastforward feature comes in handy. I've been watching daily despite the lousy storylines

Whose brainchild was it to let Michael Nader go? How long until Michael E. Knight gets the
AMC boot? I used to watch a show about All My Children but lately it's more like viewing
Children of the Damned. It's a real shame TPTB have turned the show into a toilet flush.
Michael Nader, as Dimitri Marick, has done a wonderful job, always! One worthy of a raise,

The only thing that will make ABC wake up and pay attention is a major slip in the
ratings. I suggest that we all get together and BOYCOTT AMC for one day so they see just

That was terrible what they did to Tim and he didn't want to leave the show. I've watched

I am so sick of this Mateo/Haley/Gillian/Ryan thing. It is so un natural for all of these
things to be happening to the Santo's. When I heard Dimitri was fired I was sick. He is

David has no chemistry with Erica I find him sickening to watch.He has never been a good
character to watch and with pairing him with Erica after making us think Dimitri and Erica
would get back together you throw this crap in. Well until this storyline is over I won't

TIIC have made several ill-advised casting decisions recently, but this one tops them all.
Dimitri has more layers than the entire himbo crop combined, more charm, more charisma,
more talent, yet TIIC can't or won't write for him??? I love the entire extended
Marick/Andrassey family, and the relationship between Dimitri and Edmund lie at the heart
of it-without Dimitri, there is no Wildwind. This is a great site, and we should continue

I sure hate to see Michael Nader go. There just is to much potential here that they don't
see coming. First, he needs to be there for his brother Edmund. Edmund already lost his
wife, don't make him lose his brother too. They have a wonderful relationship as brothers.
I have a feeling Maria will be back some how. Dimitri should be there for the event. I
also think they should bring Anton back into his life. And with David in Erica's life now,
how does this make Dimitri feel? And what about Brooke? Is that over? There's to much
potential here for the man. To many store lines to get the man involved with. Sorry but we

Dimitri is the PERFECT male lead for a soap -- romantic, handsome and mysterious. He has
been lucky enough to have had great writing and his storylines were always interesting. I
personally never gave up hope that someday he and Erica would get back together, they seem
to be soulmates. So, so much could be done with his character and it is ashame that the
producers of AMC can not understand what a valuable asset to the show they are throwing
away. Hopefully,when the writers are at a complete loss to come up with stories for
limited characters like Edmund and Jack (although great actors, their characters are so
one-dimentional!), they will demand Dimitri's return!!!!

I have been a huge fan of Michael's ever since I was a kid. I actually had a crush on him
(still do)on Gidget. I have enjoyed him on Dynasty as well as AMC for many years. I cannot
believe TIIC are turning their backs on one of the most valuable actors on the show! Who's
next? Susan Lucci? I know they'll regret letting him go. My prediction? Miss Huges will
not fare well at all. She just does not have it...the talent, the stage presence, the raw

story, but they didn't and now they are getting rid of him. They are making a big mistake!
The show is getting way too focused on the teenage crowd, in my opinion. I'm 36 and I

roll. Imagine my surprise when it was HIM that found her. You can't let the good guys go
