Biblical Scriptures

People get sick everyday, and if their illness takes a turn for the worst, they then remember there is a higher power, God. It should not take an illness, death, or major catastrophe for use to decide to remember the Lord Almighty; But He works in mysterious ways. I have seen many Porphyrians turn to the Lord because they feel He is their only hope. Even though there is not a cure for porphyria, the bible says the Lord will give you no more than you can handle. My favorite saying is: "Hold your head up high, and never forget your dreams;Because one they may come true". I firmly believe that everyone's dreams are possible if you believe in the Lord and pray. These are my opinions and beliefs, they are not meant to offend anyone and I hope that someone comes to join the lord from my words and/or the passages I place on this site. Scott E. Selph
Isaiah 54:11-12
11~O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12~And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
I asked for Strength........
And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........
And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........
And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........
And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........
And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favours........
And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........
I received everything I needed!
BUTT PRINTS IN THE SAND
One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there were seen.
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some strange prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord,"What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
"But Lord, they are too big for my feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."
"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt."
"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."
