The child should have the benefit of special protection and have available opportunities and services, dispensable by the law and by other means, so that he or she may develop physically, mentally, morally, spiritually, and socially in a heathful and normal manner...

Article 4

The child should have the benefit of social security. The child should also have the right to grow-up and develop in good health; with these ends in mind, special regard should be given to the health of the mother, both prenatal and postnatal. The child has the right to enjoy nourishment, shelter, recreation, and adequate medical services.

Today we can see that as result of international business, these rights have been ignored and children of Arica have not been able to develop physically or mentally in a healthy environment. Of course they have not been able to grow and develop in good health.
