The Louvre
Justin and I bought
museum passes while we were in Paris in order to see some of the "big sights." You can buy them in 1, 3, or 5 days increments and you get immediate access into museums without waiting in line to buy a ticket...the 3 day passes we bought were 36 euros and worth every penny!! Following are some pics from
the Louvre , which I'd say is the most famous museum in the world. It's honestly awe-inspiring to even stand OUTSIDE it, much less go in!! We spent a few hours wandering around and didn't even see a fraction of the sights! I actually don't have a pic of the Mona Lisa, just cuz it was too darn crowded and the bulletproof glass in front of it isn't real condusive to picture taking!! I'm including a few of the more famous things we looked at though...
The Venus de Milo... this, the following pic, and the Mona Lisa are the 3 most visited articles in the museum.
Winged Victory...
The Sculpture Garden - do you see justin?? :)
Les Trois Grâces - the three graces... from the 11th century A.D. during the Empirial Era in Rome...
symbols of beauty, the arts, and fertility. I just really liked this sculpture!
Justin said this would be his throne. :)
I LOVE this sculpture... by Antonia Canova (1757-1822)...Psyché ranimée par le baiser de l'amour...
So there's a few pics...i have a lot more, but only so much room in this wonderful angelfire account of mine!!! Go to paris and see it for yourself! :)
