"Our dad taught us three chords," says Scott Moffatt, "and we just took it from there." Did they ever! Scott, 16, and his one-year-younger triplet brothers, Clint, Bob and Dave, have been making music as the Moffatts in a major way for quite a while, first as a country band and now with new album Chapter 1: A New Beginning as...what? "There are so many variations to our music: We play rock, we play pop, we have ska songs and country songs," Scott says. "You really can’t stereotype it." You can’t help loving it, either! It’s so easy to relate to their stuff. "We feel and experience things that all teens do, and we want to strike different emotions in you with every note we play," Explains Scott. Still, while the Moffatts are typical teens in lots of ways, they’ve also seen the whole wide world-twice!-and are already megastars in their native Canada, as well as Europe and Asia. In fact, The Moffatts seem to be well on their way to becoming as massive as groups like ‘N Sync and Five, who just happen to be their buds. "They’re our best friends in the industry," Scott says. "They’re great guys, and we like hanging out with them. We don’t feel competition with them because our music is totally different."
