On MOnday APril 27th, i went to the Deftones Concert in Toronto. It was held at the warehouse, well it was supposed to be at the opera house, which i consider a really coool venue, but tix sold out in like 2 minutes or somethin so they decided to move it to the warehouse since it has a great capacity.
See, i wasnt supposed to go but my idiot friends bought me a ticket anyway, even though i stinkin told them but, thats ok, i can handle it. THe ticket was only like 15 bucks, so thats a pretty good price for a semi-big band.
Ofcourse, we were like late. THe show started at 9 doors opened at 8, we got there at 8, so here we are like at the end beside a bunch of pantera lovers *shiver*. but they were cool considering the fact that i accidently dropped my ticket(fuck, this shit ALWAYS happens to me), they found it and gave it back to me. So, anyway, we got in around, i dunno, anyway, on to the opening band, TINFED.
Whoa, it was a pretty fucking shitty band. A band named tinfed. They had this weird sound. It was kinda all mashed up together and stuff, definatly strange. It was funny though, cuz us they retards that we are, were pretending that we were "big fans" and that we know ALL the lyrics so we were like singing or supposedly singin or mouthing whatver, the lyrics, and everyones like "what the fuck, these chicks know the lyrics??" it was sad. after "intermission", the main band came on stage DEFTONES.
Shit, i cant remember what song they opened with. I think it was "be quiet and drive(far away)" i cant remember, i gotta recheck that. I gotta admit that deftones were pretty good, there sound was really clear, even though chino sounded really bad when he was doing this awful scream, i recommend that he doesnt do that, he sounds so bad, ugh, its scary. he looked hot though yuppers, mmmm, anyway, the instrumental shit was amazing. I went into the mish pit , i cant remember when but i stayed in for like 5 songs, but some fucker bodychecked my eye and my fucking contact, fell off, it was some funny, crazy shit. anyway, i cant remember what song they finished with either, but they did some back for an encore, and guess what??? those fucks didnt play "7 words" fuck, i was so pissed, they did play mascara, one of my fave songs, which i thought they wouldnt cuz its kinda slow and they played mx too, but no 7 words, that made me mad.
Overall though, It was a pretty good concert, im not gonna give it 5 stars though, it kinda lacked content.
