I am employed in the field of Law Enforcement and have been for over 27 years. I am currently a Detention Officer With the Springfield Missouri Police Department and also am a Specialist Instructor with the Missouri Department of Public Safety in the area of Corrections. Should you be in need of information pertaining to education in this area, just drop me a line and I'll get you the information that you request if I can assist you. ----------------------------------------------------- I have a wide range of interests away from the work place, and at the top of the list is my love for the outdoors and fishing. I'm one of those people that would rather be on the lake anytime instead of working. One of the main reasons that I live in the area that I do is because of the area lakes and their abundance of fish. I try and spend at least 4 to 5 weeks on the lake in the early spring so it does allow me to get a small amount of knowledge about what the fish are feeding on and how they are biting. Below is a link to the Missouri Department of Conservation that will allow you to be sent an e-mail every week during the best fishing times of the year. This e-mail will advise you of how and where the fish are biting and the hot areas for the week. If you are planning a trip to the Ozarks--drop me a line and i'll be sure to fill you in on what is happening and where you can catch some fish. Bass is my favorite---but crappie follow a real close second. When the ice and snow keep me from the lakes I also enjoy a little HAMing. I hold my Technician License from the FCC and do most of my chatting within the 2-meter range. If you are around the Springfield area---give me a yell on 146.910 repeater or if you're near Bolivar try the 147.060 trepeater. I have been know to get a few calls while in the boat on simplex 146.550 and 146.580.
