Marks MAC-D Rack/Kawi Bag Review

There is no doubt, this rack is very strong. It is a one piece design, with 4 mounting points. And bag or box mounting options are only limited by by weight limitations of the bike. It fit perfectly. And comes with new mounting bolts that are better than the origional bolts. And even has instructions for installing them that are easy to read, and just for the KLR650.
I have the Kawi bags now, and they dont even begin to really test the rack. But they will work, and keep the bags off the plastic and exhaust. I like these bags and I am considering making them fit better by cutting the big top strap, and sewing velcro straps on them, to make them hang lower, and further back.
But other bags with adjustable straps, would be easier.

There is ALOT of extra places for mounting stuff on this rack. I have a Chase Harper Barrel Bag on the rear. And I could put alot more of them on if I needed to. If I need to carry more stuff, I'd take the truck.

Is that a fine looking KLR, or what!!

OK, time to field test these racks.

This rack held up on the roughest trails around here and it makes the bike feel even more solid than before. The saddle bags, and tank panners also come in handy when things go wrong on the trail. Please dont ask. But they can save $$$ in other damage. 8^}
