In October of 1980, I left Hawaii, my home at the time, and set sail with 3 others aboard the yacht Seer to Tahiti. Seer, a 70' ketch built in 1949, proved be a very comfy ride. We arrived in Tahiti Oct 12, two weeks after departure. I fell in love with the islands instantly and decided to stay, and stay I did! For the next 15 years I lived on the island of Moorea. This is my story!
