ACCENTED LETTERS FOR MAC
Use the
OPTION key with the following keys to achieve t h e a c c e n t e d l e t t e r o r s p e c i al c h a r a c t e r y o u w a n t ( N O T E : let go of the OPTION key before typing the actual letter you want to appear ) :
The Basic Accented Letters
- é = option + e + letter (any letter)
- è = option + {accent grave key - under the ESC key} + letter (any letter)
- ê = option + i + letter (this could be any vowel: û, â, ê, ô, î)
- ï = option + u + letter (this could be any vowel: ï, ü, ä, ë, ö )
- ç = option + c
- Ç = shift + option + c
- ñ = option + n (let finger off of option key) -- n (again)
- Ñ = option + n (let finger off of option key) -- shift+n
Some Other Characters
- € = option + shift + @
- ¿ = option + shift + ?
- ¡ = option + 1 (the number one, on the top of the key board
- « = option + \
- » = option + shift + | (above the \ key)
