Betrayal of Friends:
Kayko stole into the kitchen at midnight. She was going to get him for
herself, that little witch-demon Aiko wouldn't have him anymore when she was
through. Kayko searched the refrigerator for her father's six-pack of
beer, found it, then headed out of the dark kitchen. She was smart, she
could trick Yusuke with a fake label. Kayko carried it back to her room
and made some fake root beer labels on her computer. Then, she printed
them out on her sticker paper and carefully wrapped them around each of the six
bottles of beer. *There,* she thought, *That should do it.* After
Kayko was through tampering with the glass bottles, she snuck out of her house
and went to the park, where she had heard there would be a party. She
expected Yusuke would be there to crash it. But what if he had brought
Aiko? No matter, she could think of something to lure him away from that
trash.
In about half an hour, Kayko made it to the small park,
where several high school students were holding an end-of-the-year party.
Yusuke was a drop-out so he shouldn't really be there, but he was truly one for
breaking the rules. There were about 50 people at the park and a contained
bonfire had been started. Kayko easily spotted Yusuke with his arm around
Aiko on a bench. Aiko hadn't dropped out. She was intelligent.
And she had herself and Yusuke's future planned out in her head. *He can
be a waiter, I can be something that gets a lot of money every year!* She had
thought to herself when Yusuke had blurted out the he loved her. Kayko
headed over to the area and set the disguised beer down by the bench.
*Yusuke will find it and then he'll drink it.* Then, she crept away to
join some other people she knew from school.
"Hey! Check it out, babe, root beer!" Yusuke
pointed to the six-pack. Aiko glanced at it, then grabbed it. "Here,
I'll get it," she pulled one out of the cardboard and handed it to Yusuke.
"I'm not that thirsty right now, I think I'll go say hi to Katsume. She is
the one who got you into this party." "Yeah, better thank her or
something." Aiko got up and tussled Yusuke's hair as she left to go
see Katsume. Yusuke flattened his hair as he drank from the cold beer and
watched Aiko laugh as she spoke to Katsume. A voice rose high above the
crowd as Kayko's laugh drowned out everything. Yusuke looked up and raised
an eyebrow. "What the hell is she doing here?" Kayko pretended to
see Yusuke for the first time and took the liberty of traipsing over to the
bench and sitting down by Yusuke. "Hi, how's it goin'?" "Um, good.
What are you doing here?" "It is a party for high school students.
So tell me, how'd you get in?" "Friend of Aiko's. She figured that
since I was so popular, I should come." "Oh, that's cool. Hey, you
look like you're almost done. Why don't you drink some more?" Kayko
motioned to the 5 remaining bottles. "Yeah, guess I am. This fire
does dry out your throat, doesn't it?" Yusuke smiled as he took another
one. Kayko hid her satisfied smirk as Yusuke twisted the cap off and drank
deeply. *He should be getting drunk soon. Then I'll lure him away.
He'll be mine before that bitch-trash can say demon.* Yusuke started to
get lightheaded and began talking funny after the fourth one. "An' you
know what I say? I say, 'Let him get killed and then we can get out of
here!' 'Course I didn't mean it." Kayko nodded and noticed an old
building with a wooden foundation. It seemed slightly rotted, but it had
been there for many years. The park owners couldn't bring themselves to
tear it down. She tapped Yusuke on the shoulder and he jerked his head her
way, "What?" "Um, it's getting too loud. That building looks nice,"
she pointed to the wooden house, "Why don't we go in there. You can finish
your story." "Okay!" Yusuke took some time to get off the bench, he
was on the last bottle. "This is funny tastin' root beer. You sure
it's what the label says?" "Yeah, I wouldn't let you drink it."
Kayko took Yusuke's hand as she lead him towards the building. Aiko was
poking the fire with a stick, not noticing the treachery that Kayko was up to.
"This is nice, isn't it?" Kayko was in a corner with
Yusuke who was still pretty drunk. She had her arms around his neck and he
had a goofy look on his face. "Uh, yeah! Aiko, when are we goin'
back to the party?" "Later," she replied. He still thought she was
Aiko. This ticked her off a little, but she still was satisfied with what
she had done so far. Kayko leaned in and pressed her lips to Yusuke's.
She moved her hands down his back towards his waist. He jerked back,
pushing her away from him. "Whoa, whoa. That's not what I wanted."
"Why not? Don't you love me?" Kayko was pulling a guilt trip on him.
She knew he was still quite drunk and there was still a big chance of him
believing her. "Uh, yeah, but, that's not what I had in mind. I
thought that you just wanted to get away from the noise." "Yes, but the
mood. I don't know what came over me." She turned away shyly,
pretending to be embarrassed. Yusuke held his arms out, "Aw, I'm sorry.
Give me a hug." Kayko's face showed a ghost of a smile as she turned
around and wrapped her arms back around him and pressed into him. Yusuke's
eyes widened. Kayko's right hand was moving down Yusuke's jeans.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?! Are you sure you're Aiko?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be Aiko? Isn't this what you wanted?" "Uh, no.
Um, maybe the party's got more of that root beer." Yusuke started to stand
up, but Kayko had his shirt. The white tank top was pulled by her
child-like hands down Yusuke's sweaty arms and chest. He was yanked down
with it. Kayko becoming even more seductive than ever. Her want for him
was more powerful than ever. Yusuke fell and Kayko ripped the shirt so
that it came all the way off. "Hey! Knock it off!" "Why?
I thought this is what you wanted me for." "No, it's not. You were
the one who suggested this place, not me." "But we should make the most of
the time we have alone." "We always have time alone! We're at your
house like everyday! What do you want from me?!" "More than you
know," Kayko ran her hands down his arms and pushed into him. "Excuse me?!
What exactly are you going to do?!" "Love you," she locked lips with
Yusuke and rolled over, he was on top. He tried to jerk his head away
without hurting her, but it wasn't enough. She was stronger now.
Kayko pulled away long enough to breathe and then came back for another long
kiss. Yusuke couldn't get away now. Suddenly, the door to the shabby
house slammed open. Kayko blinked, then rolled under a table. Yusuke
rolled to his back to face a horrorstricken Aiko. "What, what was going on
here?" Yusuke snapped to his senses, "Then, that wasn't you. Oh my
God. Someone, some girl. She's still in here." Aiko took in
the whole scene with her eyes, the ripped shirt, Yusuke's sweaty body, a blue
scarf ripped on a chair. A blue scarf? "Kayko," Aiko grimly
announced the word. "What?" Yusuke looked with astonishment at Aiko,
"Kayko wouldn't do this, she, I don't think she could." Yusuke stood up.
He grabbed his shirt and began to look for Kayko, who had now hidden behind a
potbellied stove in a opposite corner. "Are you ok?" Aiko looked at
Yusuke, "Yeah, I think so. I can't believe this. What made me do
that?" "The 'root beer'. It was regular beer, that witch. I'm
gonna kill her when I find her. I don't believe this. How could she
do this to you? I thought she was our friend." Aiko overturned a
small table and the fragile wooden legs shattered as it hit the hard, cold stone
floor. They were getting nearer to Kayko. Should she run, or pray
they wouldn't find her? Too late. Yusuke walked into the kitchen
area and saw a flicker of movement behind the stove. "I found her."
Aiko appeared on the spot. "Well, any last words, Kayko Ukimoura?"
Kayko's eyes were full of fear and hatred. "Just a few: I love you,
Yusuke." The words meant nothing to Yusuke. He knew they were false.
And nothing could tear him away from Aiko. She knew him too well, and
Kayko also knew that this was no use. Aiko's metal claws shot from her
fingernails as she aimed for Kayko's heart. "If you really did, you would
have let Aiko and me be together. How dare you." But before Aiko
could destroy Kayko, a hand appeared on hers. Not Yusuke's hand.
"Hey, Matsumoto. How's about you let the rat get to the poison before the
trap gets it. It'll suffer more." Kuwabara brought Aiko's hand down
to her side and she withdrew her claws. "Thank Kuwabara for letting you
live. I hope you die and burn in Hell." Kayko scrambled out of the
house and the three others left it, Yusuke's pride and dignity destroyed from
the horrible occurrences that had happened.
